Working in a crime lab or something maybe but Brock looks at least 220 and this is his first year being able to do any considerable resistance training after his catastrophic injury, throwing arm btw. Dude runs a 1.5 ten yard split, which is faster than desean Jackson’s ten yard split. We can see the strength and athleticism so why can’t people just give recognition when it’s due?

    Brock Purdy proved to be a good runner last year when he had to scamper. He's sneaky fast. He's also strong enough to get out of the clutch of defensive linemen. I've seen him do that more than once. Purdy is not some player that has to stay in the pocket. People keep underestimating him even after he proves them wrong in real live games. o

      @@joshchavez8614 -- They will have to put a fast guy on him, a spy. That's what the defensive coordinator for the Chiefs, Steve Spagnuolo, had to do. He was impressed with Brock, raved about him, and he is widely regarded as the best d-coordinator in the NFL. If you have to use another guy, that opens things up a bit more in other ways.

      No sh!t!!!! Every QB needs a great supporting cast to be great! Why do people act like other QBs are doing everything on their own?
      If anything, Russ is the only QB I’ve seen repeatedly drag deficient teams to the playoffs.
      I know this thread isn’t about Russ, but with Nick Wright, there’s an agenda, and it’s to keep as much distance as he can between #15 and #3, and he has benefitted from Pete Carroll’s poor judgment in Russ’s last few years in Seattle, and from Russ’s poor decision to go to Denver.
      Russ is still Mahomes’s biggest threat, and Nick knows it!

      ​@roykeane1922 lamar is not the reason they stopped running the ball. They went from 25-30 rb runs a game to 7 or 8. You expect the players to get flustered and make mistakes when the winning gameplan they had all year gets abandoned. It's not that they expected him to throw. It's that they expected him to only throw, and the team spent half the time running beforehand. If the chiefs only ran 8 pass plays an entire game and lost, would we blame mahomes?
      Not to mention this was all done against one of the worst run defensive teams in the league. I don't like the nfl is rigged narrative but the way the ravens coaching staff called plays, and ran the offense was abysmal and it just so happened to have been against the chiefs.
      No one is claiming that lamars arms are the reason he's a threat. But when you take away his legs by calling pass plays, you are trying to put him in the shoes of someone he isn't. It's sad really.

    Do these people watch football? Purdy is great when everything breaks down and plays become 'off schedule'. He just also happens to make the 4th read that most QBs don't get to on schedule. He stays on schedule longer despite having a terrible offensive line because he processes faster. But his 'off schedule' play is honestly great.

With Dalton Schultz, Tank Dell and one of the best LTs in the league? The dude had talent and a wizard OC just like Shanny. Just shows how inept Davis Mills was lol. Also everyone hyping up his playoff win against the "vaunted" Browns defence obviously didn't check out their Home/Away splits and their performances indoors. Granted the Texans run game was weak, but if you gave Brock the amount of attempts as CJ, he would throw for 4,800 yards.       And Love?? I mean dude looked bad the first 6 weeks! They started winning once the ground game took over to get into the RZ and he could throw a TD to make his rating respectable. Honestly don't know how people could say Love lol. If SF threw for TDs (compared to rushing) as much as GB did Brock would have like 45-50 TDs and maybe 4500 yards too. Brock is so much more accurate, as mobile, better pocket awareness, better anticipation... Jordan couldn't beat Brock in the playoffs with a better run game and with Moody missing kicks as usual.       In his first playoff game, Brock Purdy had 3 TDs against the Seahawks. In 5 playoff starts since then, Brock Purdy has a total of 3 TDs. And he’s playing on an offense with 4 pro bowlers around him, and on a team with a top 3 scoring defense.

      I mean outside of Tua, Lamar played the worst against that Chiefs defense. There's levels to this. Allen and Purdy played much better against Chiefs than Lamar, especially when you account for how well the Ravena defense was playing and shutting down Mahomes in the second half.       It is the most overrated metric people use to judge QBs. It doesn’t take into account the rest of the team. The QBs are never on the field at the same time, there is nothing they do that directly impacts the play of the other QB.

    Buffalo has consistently played KC better than every other team .
    Josh Allen is one of the most durable quarterbacks in the modern NFL .

      Actually the year the Bills were stopped by the Bengals was the year the Chiefs ended up beating the Bengals in the AFC Championship. That said given the Bills performance against the Bengals in that divisional round where they scored like 10 points at home and never looked like they could win or claw their way back into the game because of Josh Allen's decision making in that game makes it absolutely debatable between him and Joe Burrow.

    Glad to see the debate is over for Mahomes. Currently in a class of his own amongst active QB’s and the only people in the same realm as him right now is Tom Brady and Joe Montana. When he goes 3 in a row, it is only him and Brady. And him and Brady would be side by side at that point with another decade left to go in Mahomes career.
