Getting back into pokemon and seeing those old videos back when gen 6 was super famous made me feel old even though im only 14

@@tomass3594 Oh yah man Platinum was probably up there for me. My list would be different but it's because when I look at a Pokemon game, I take different things into account, my list would look like this:
GOAT: XY - I found GTS to be the best community thing they did, I loved the character editor (This hooks me every time it's in a game), the new Pokemon, how many you had access to before the 3rd gym, how easy things were made to be like EV/IV training and breeding. As he said in his vid, it was the game that allowed me entry into Competitive Pokemon.
S: Platinum - You know why lol. It was everything that made DP great with more Fire Types lol.
A: B/W, HG/SS, Emerald and OR/AS: Both expanded upon what made their predecessors great, but both also didn't complete what should have been the goal. HG/SS suffered from terrible level scaling and still didn't finish Kanto in full. OR/AS made real free flight possible but wouldn't add the battle frontier and even mocked fans
B: Every Game not listed.
C: Sw/Sh - It's average, painfully so. This to me is actually an E tier game, but it's an E because it's so average, not even average as a Pokemon game, just, average...
D: S/M - This was a slog, I had to force myself through this game to prepare for US/UM, only to find out they were just the same game over again... I hated the addition of regional forms, mainly because it didn't improve on older pokemon, the original versions still suck... S/M was so bad for me that I didn't bother to give US/UM a chance...
I haven't played B2/W2 but I'm considering it, because I hear they're the best ones from a lot of people. I certainly love the graphics.
S/M and Sw/Sh for me are also disappointing because as said above, I am a sucker for character creation and these games did very little to improve on that... Especially with the lack of hair options for males. They should really be at the point where gender is a non factor to the hair and clothes you can pick, like Tem Tem. I want my Afro Damn IT!

I'm missing only 5 more Pokémon video games that I need for my collection such as Pokémon Soul Silver, the non-dlc versions of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon Scarlet, and Pokémon Violet so I can start playing all of them once and for all.
I love how only the specific version played gets a tier, while the counterparts were put in the worst haha! It reminds me if when I was a kid arguing with my friends or cousin over which pokemon version was better

It’s not as good as some of the others but I still enjoy it and consider them to be good buys for the Switch, the national dex not being included isn’t even horrible either, you don’t use half the Pokémon in the national dex, the only bad part of it being cut imo is that they chose some mediocre Pokémon instead of the great ones, thanks for coming to my TEDTalk

Pokemon X was my real introduction to the series, so I have a lot of nostalgia for it. Although not my favourite, it's still a great game.
Recently however, I started Pokemon Y and it sucks.

nope don't waste money on a switch, get an ds lite with a GBA slot and get emerald, platinum or black/white. Heartgold/soul silver and firered/leafgreen are also really good. Main benefit is with that one ds you can play every single game I just listed, and if you wanna do any of the trade stuff buy another and you're set

@matt fahringer I've got an Emerald story for you as well my friend. After I caught a 1% Wailord, I decided to hunt another 1% for the lols. Chimeco to be exact. I looked for hours and before the darn thing appeared, a shiny shuppet sparked before. Then I found the chimeco. Pokémon is great hahaha
To this day, the three I can always replay and have fun every few years are platinum, emerald, and white. The new shit really depressed me but I’m over it and glad I got the good ones back in the day.
Emerald was my intro into pokemon. It was on my cousin's folding box-gameboy one. Back then i didnt even speak English. He got himself a PSP so i often lend me the gameboy with the disk. And it was my childhood.

@@lipbalm Emerald is a game for the Gameboy advance and soul silver is for the DS. Both can be emulated on a computer for free though.

@@koalerboy Tbf Pokemon SwSh aren’t BAD games, they’re pretty enjoyable to play, but they’re certainly not my favorite. They could’ve been made far better without having to pay extra for DLC content, especially when not a lot of parents are going to want to shell out $90 for their 10-year-old kid to fully enjoy a single game. I’d honestly put SwSh in the C or B tier for me. I thought SM and USUM were better games, at B or A tier.
