After a volcanic eruption along the border of China and North Korea, seismologists warn that another devastating eruption is imminent that will reduce the entire region to rubble. Renowned geoscientist Bong-rae sees only one way to stop the explosion: By the targeted use of nuclear warheads at the volcano, the catastrophe should be prevented. Together with his team, the explosives expert In-chang is sent to North Korea to free the imprisoned spy Joon-pyeong. The political defector is the only one who knows where the warheads are located.
