Grian buying Gem some buildy bits is so adorable and wholesome.
I'm surprised HC isn't using the new datapack that lets you craft mini-blocks using the stonecutter-I get that the point is to provide _some_ utility for the wandering trader, but it is such a boon to my quality of life.

@@GSBarlev I think the rarity of wandering traders makes it more fun personally! Like a little gamble of what kind of blocks you’ll get each time :) I do think stonecutter miniblocks are awesome though, maybe just doesn’t fit the ‘spirit’ of hermitcraft?

I love how almost all the Hermits I watch are starting to do cinematic intros, they look so good!
I feel like Gem is the master of cinematic editing. Going back to the second Empires, she's been killing it.

I feel like there needs to be a "no elytra" day every so often, or once a week, and everyone is invited to go visit or "tour" each others bases on horseback (or pigs, camels etc) to embrace the immersion and to keep the "slow" vibe evergreen throughout the season.

Cub should do fireworks. One of the end crystal boys from a few seasons ago should do end crystals (I can’t remember if Doc or Grian started that). And then someone has GOT to do the mace. - but maybe not skiz and Bdubs. 😅

Your little windmill error turned on my imagination. It could be awesome to add a damaged old windmill where not all rotators work anymore. This could fit into the horror asthetic quite nicely, making this windmill almost look haunted.

You could build a whale carcass… or skeleton on the shore! For the lore! Say there once, a long time ago was lots more ocean covering the land as we know it today! A whale skeleton would definitely add to the spooky-ness.. Or.. Just a beached whale.. That could also work xD

I have learned SO much about how to improve my building since I started watching the Hermits, and Gem, you are who I have learned the most from! My building has gone from boxes with no shape to actual decent looking buildings!
Everybody starts out making squares and rectangles. I started playing when the game was almost new and didn't have all these videos to reference. It took me ages to figure out how to make a decent circle. I spent six months working out how redstone works because I'm too dumb to understand electronics. Hermitcraft has really changed the game
cubfan is so awkward but in such a charismatic way haha i always love seeing him interacting with other hermits it makes me smile always

Hi Gem! As someone who has only played for a couple of years, and is old enough to be your mom, I really appreciated your tutorial during this episode. Building is hard for me, and I’ve greatly improved over the last 2 years, but it’s still very hard and takes me a very long time. The way you described your process was very easy to understand and made it click more in my head. Thank you so much!

I loved that you briefly walked us through the process of building a structure! I have been wanting to get better at building for a while now, but I havent found many tutorials on the internet helpful. However, as someone who is starting to build modern houses, I found your tutorial helpful in helping me make them look better and more realistic!! Thank you Gem!!
Gem, the houses are so cool! My one and only critique would be the new house looks like it is going to fall over any day now with the flimsy overhangs that support a very top heavy house.
Maybe switch the over hangs for actual ground based supports and put a garden underneath? Keeps the airy vibe but with a bit less whimsy and magic holding the house together.
Whimsy is better than realism imo!

Cub has his hands extremely full this season lol. New Permit Manager, the Labyrinth, two of the most profitable shops, and now in the Fight Club?
Cub is also the guy whos made entire Biomes, With his S4 Obsidian Fieldlands biome. His S8 Dripstone Gorge biome.
HIs dripstone minigame last season. Cub will do fine.
I think this is gonna be so cool if gem ends up doing a bigger structure then her affinity for lighter, warmer blocks (bone block, sandstone, quartz, birch, oak) it could end up looking like a sandcastle which fits the whole ocean seaside vibe

It's kind of ironic watching one of the most upbeat positive energetic hermits building in a horror theme and yet still having that wonderful happy go lucky attitude.

This season I've been changing up my routine to watch Gem this season. It's been so comfy and relaxing, in spite of the existential horrors below the surface. 10/10 experience.

God, I really love watching Gem's videos.
I remember when she posted a previous episode, and I kept falling asleep to it because it's just so relaxing watching her build. And then when she laughs with other hermits, I just feel like, "Yeah, we're having fun! :D" which makes me feel so safe and then I just fall right asleep in bed hahah

I love this style of videos where you just fully complete a build every few episodes as opposed to focusing on a big build the whole time. It feels like your progressing so much more
Thanks for the building breakdown. I know that I, and so many other builders, tend to seriously overcomplicate building. We get these big extravagant ideas. I've started building a castle in my survival world, and I've found that if I focus on one shape at a time, it's so much easier to stay patient and motivated enough to finish

I love that you take us through the building process it feels like I'm actually learning here whereas a lot of other creators just do Timelapses and while the builds look good we don't really get to see their thought process or how they do things

3:04 I don't terraform at all either. I also use the vanilla terrain when I'm building. I also like to put things in the sky, to save ground space. That also helps to express Minecraft's quirky physics, in a fun way. If I'm in an area that's crowded with terrain, I dig out a home under the ground rather than build on top of it. There's something new you just learned from AmbientSteve405.

Hey Gem I was thinking if u didn’t want to have fence posts around Skipper’s pen, I’m pretty sure if you place berry bushes in a hole with moss carpets on top, horses don’t walk over it - that way Skipper looks as if he’s well trained lol

I had an idea for the skull and texturing it, with the mushrooms, like how you had said you wanted to put a way to the top of the mountain in the skull, you could make like a mushroom ladder or maybe use vines or somthing like that

Gem you should add a mushroom called Cordiceps (or the zombie mushroom) to the skull! They essentially take over an ants nervous system by attaching and growing in the Ants spine and uses the ants body to feed. They're very cool! And winter shrantells or hornes mushrooms would look really cool as well
I love Tutorial Gem. She's so cute 😍 . I also love the soft, gentle beginning of the video. It's a welcome change from all the high-energy content I've watched lately. I would love to have the patience and focus you and the others have for builds and terraforming.
