The way they keep feeding her cookies and pies makes me feel like she's the only grandchild in an entire village of older folks, so they've all just adopted her and are spoiling her while she helps fix up their homes, changes lightbulbs, shovels sidewalks, etc and I love it

To the villagers Gem is a wandering trader that came into their village, flooded it with body gaurds, fixed up a house, was whisked away by a player (but was able to escape- something no villager has done before), and successfully scared off a illager
And so they shower her with pies and cookies because she's the locally adopted queen of villagers

Before she got to the village : Everyone is unemployed, the ground is all uneven, there's a giant sinkhole in the center of town, there's no produce coming in or out, and there's the constant threat of nightmare creatures breaking into your home in the middle of the night.
Afterwards : She fixes the uneven earth, rescues a lost villager from a chasm, reintroduces commerce and exports, establishes agriculture, and brings in numerous guards to alleviate the aforementioned nightmare creatures.
"We don't know why the new mayor showed up, but she lets us pay our taxes with pie, so we don't mind."

Gem would be that one person just everyone in the village loves from grandparents to kids even golems I also love how sausage is just like happy for her the way he said "is this all ur family members?! This is great!" Is just so sweet

I loved the roleplay of Gem the Iron villager being kidnapped and escaping. Everyone getting spooked by the appearance of a golem when they spook Gem is great. The shader made the inside of the house so pretty, but sadly too bright for me to watch the screen outside. I love the videos Gem your builds are always wonderful!

Gem always gets out of her way to start a bunch of series to entertain us. Afterlife SMP sounds soooo cool and good luck and try not to die but I think u will do well because of all the hardcore u have tried

@@Player-jh4ko yeah factor in editing and the fact it has to be entertaining i imagine if i watched you play mc it be boring unless u editied it down we only see a fraction of the time spent playing the game yeah its just a game at the end f the day but the editing the need for it to be engaging the actual real world hours spend in game is what makes it hard

I love the funny lil roleplay moments, they're too wholesome! Also, this mod's texture pack is AMAZING!!! I am in looove with the pink pumpkins
The first episode is already so productive! :0 the comments are so interesting for coming up with some lore/backstory
I love all the villager interactions with everyone else on the server. Also gem as an idea maybe make a cute wall around the village with a gate and guard towers to keep your villager friends safe
she's already done that in one of her previous single player series so i doubt she'll do it again, at least in that way. maybe she'll make a moat or a wall of dripstone. or even lift the village up into the sky so it's mostly inacessable, plenty of options that dont involve fort-ifying it

After being a villager, you somehow build up say, being a merchant queen/mayor, then boom, you are a spider and have to watch your hard work be taken over. 😅 Or the village slaughtered and abandoned.

Ughhh I love ur character in this series 😭✨ shes very adventurous, idk why but she seems as if she is a bit clumsy, and she’s a bit of a scardy cat! She’s funny to be honest! She reminds me of a child :)

I feel like this amazing village needs more protection, besides the golems. I'd love to see Gem's take on some fortifications-like buildings like defense walls all around the village, bastions, defense towers... This way the village can eventually evolve into a proper town and be protected from those pesky kidnappers and illagers!
She did a great job of this in her hardcore series!
A defense feature I"ve never seen though, is to put an indention in the village wall, leading toward the center of the village. This lures invaders in, and there can be a simple pit at the end of the trap to hold them there for easy killing. I hope someday she tries this!
I like to dig the pit one block deep, about 5x5 big, with fences all around the inside so no invaders can climb out but they can very easily climb in.

I love this afterlife series! Its like xlife but less modded. Xlife have TONS of mods. Including those items that can make you fly (like in creative), etc. This one focuses more on the vanilla survival aspect and ofcourse the "Origin".
Gem being a villager is way too perfect. Especially after her hardcore series of transforming and protecting a village!? This was so meant for her. Also the scene with Lizzie had me laughing so hard XD
And fWhip being a Pillager is too perfect as well, I can't wait for their eventual fun interactions.
The hardcore and afterlife series got me thinking that Gem is meant to be a villager.

I was so excited for Gem to upload an episode (understandable it'd take a bit, what with Hermitcraft starting at about the same time - that's gotta be a lot of minecraft and recording!) and it was totally worth the wait. Loved seeing everyone stop by and trade (and Gem getting into character, the bits of Lizzie stealing her and her throwing emeralds at Sausage, and being frightened-on-sight of Fwhip, were all so fun). Long live Villager Gem!

Have to say Gem, seeing you spawn as a villager reminds me of an experience I had with Minecraft console edition a very long time ago.
I spawned a new survival world and when I went into it, I found a village close to my spawn. But I found the village was completely abandoned (It was a zombie village that had spawned). That led to a story I came up with in my head that who I was playing as at the time was the last of the village, returning home after a long trip to find his home gone and his friends gone. It led to a long solo quest for revenge as it were, with the Ender dragon being the main goal as the 'leader' of the attack on the village.
And at the end of it all, when the Ender Dragon was defeated, I finally built a memorial at the village, finally bringing closure to the story.
What a fun experience! Thank you for sharing; I love making in-game stories like that!
This should be a plot for a book actually, I would read it!

Okay- all the other comments are cute while i'm recommending a war. BUT anyway, I can imagine gem going into a paranoid state and protecting her village with all costs. Eventually the other powerhouses would start moving closer so she attacks them, and a CERTAIN somebody with the pillager orgin could lead a rebellion against her. Making allies, (i'd assume Lizzie would side with the pillagers and Kat would side with gem.) and secret meetings ending in a world war.

I’m so hype for this series!! Also tip: most sharks are docile. Unless it’s a great white (marked by the achievement “Jaws”) you shouldn’t worry about them. I learned that yesterday playing the origins smp modpack

Gem's 1.16 Hardcore Letsplay was what got me into Minecraft CZcams in the first place, and it's so cool to see her live and build in a village again

I personally imagine Gem as a Warrior Villager or a Super Villager, hehe, cause she's the only villager than CAN fight (if she ever so chooses), plus she can summon golems! So maybe she's a kind of Protector Villager :D

It'll be a good addition if for example someone hit you, the iron golems that are near you in a fixed radius will defend you automatically like how it is with the wolves
