ya know for the enchants I just wish they'd follow the levels, so like say a villager got ridtide 1 as an enchanted book trade, then as you level them up they'd get the higher levels. and then sure villagers could have multiple kinds of enchants they trade, but it would only be if its possible for them to get the whole set, so the enchants that go up to 5 they'd only get if the first trade got the book as that's the only way they'd be able to get all 5 levels of it, and so at each level it would guaranty they get the trade, but if say they got an enchantment that only has a few levels they would have a chance to not get book, with there being some point where it would guaranty the last level. like it would be nice, less enchants to roll thru, and you'd get all the enchants, if you got a ridtide trade you'd get all the levels. I mean if you wrote a spell why wouldn't the next book you make when you level up be a better version? instead its completely unrelated, other then a better chance of getting higher levels, its just weird.

Idea: Get Tango or Impulse to make a scoreboard that keeps score on a digital lantern scoreboard that adds a score when you put the opponents head in your chest. Invite Etho to show him your scoreboard before he gets to open Frogger with his similar scoreboard.

playing iron bars in the soruce block of the water outlet for the area might help with getting stuck in there without ruining the looks

Gem why didn't you put the trident in an enchanting table? Riptide I is way easier to obtain that way but I guess you wanted to avoid attached enchants like Impaling so nvm. Glad you got to hang out with Ren that was great!! Except owing him and hour of labour.

You could also make the arena's fighting area drop into a pit full of water and have a conduit in the area to give water breathing

I know you already built it but I imagine a completely submerged room so that the entire fight happens in three dimensions. Like maybe there would be some things you could hide behind too, simialar to a CS:GO type arena where you get to hide behind something and pop out to lunch at the opponent and can swim up above them or down below them to catch them by surprise or something interesting like that hahaha

It could be interesting if the trident fight club had more of an underwater component. Could even have spots of soul sand and magma blocks to add vertical "currents" to the arena. Or even add a bit of redstone to change/move around the ups and downs to add more challenge.

No idea if this will be buried in the comments, but what could also work for tridents is a Inverted Dropdown minigame, have an upside down drop map built and you can climb it up using tridents and random hidden pools. Having a few people try to sneak between obstacles could generate collisions and be ton of fun. Or something

I think the arena would be cooler if it was a little larger and half under water with a conduit and platforms as decorations, and each player, in addition to having riptide tridents, would have "wetsuits": leather helmet with the enchantment that gives you underwater vision, chestpiece with aqua affinity, and leather boots with depth strider. Love the color scheme! P.S. Can Loyalty be put on a trident with Riptide?

I’m not sure if it will work, but you could potentially make the arena with watterlogged slabs, and that way the moveability will be a bit easier instead of always having to be inside a water pillar (ps the water pillars can still be in the arena for more vertical combat)

wish there was a good way to have water in the air that doesnt have collision, best i could think of is open fences holding water sources but that still has some collision and lets face it would look naff

You should do a hybrid of ranged and melee, like have a few pillars of water and have some puddles of water. The arena would need to be larger so there is enough room for range or using riptide to dive someone
