I have watched this show for years . I never get tired of it . Funniest actors ever . I miss Compo but the last years were really good. They don't make programs like this anymore ; more's the shame .
I truly love Frank Thornton. He was just as good in LOTSW as he was playing Captain Stephen Peacock in Are You Being Served and Grace & Favour. R.I.P, Mr. Thornton.
I love this show so much! It always lifts my spirits and puts a Smile on my face. The characters are so unique and the humor is fun! Definitely the best of the summer wine 🍷!
I think there is a lot to offer even after Compo was gone. Alvin, Billy and Enthistle were a breath of fresh air that never diminished Compo's contributions. I am fortunate to own all episodes and watch them nearly every night. Great acting and warm human interactions. Something we no longer seem to cherish.
Last of the Summer Wine is such an entertaining British comedy sitcom. Who would think of such creative adventures for seniors in a rural community. I enjoy all British comedy sitcoms 😃😃😂😂😂💝💝💝💝💝
Now that I'm becoming more familiar with ...British comedy,...I like it a lot and find it entertaining,.I'm getting to know most of the stars by face and names. Everyday I discover new series that I find funny ...specially now that I'm older at seventy ,...my taste has changed a lot....I never knew there was so many different comedies. Too bad a lot of the stars are dead....may they R.I.P.
This comedy helps makes growing older easier at 65 living in a small village in Spain the characters are the same except they speak Spanish. Ha Ha Ha. I Love living in a small village. I have great friends. It's like the Wind and the Willow's.
The scenes with the coppers are some of my favorites, especially how sometimes it's totally disconnected from the plot, like the little comic strips in the page margins of Mad Magazine
Roy Clarke is a genius writer, so obvious in Last of the Summer Wines and Keeping up Appearances. Also, the Directors, Camera men and production team is the finest in showing the talent of such great actors. When viewing the series I was enthralled in the film - a 3D glasses was not needed. I really enjoyed the series on public TV in USA until it stopped then technology (phone) now gives me the pleasure of viewing for free via CZcams, most of the series ! 😊💝😎
What a wonderful vehicle for the elder statesman n women of British stage and screen. I miss the ones who passed, and pray for those who are left! And thank them all!
It is nice to see an episode with Frank Thornton in it from ‘Are You Being Served?’ and also with Josephine Tewson from ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ as well. First time I've seen Josephine Tewson in this series.
Last of the summer wine is the best. Roy Clarke is a genious. it was absolutely brilliant... No sex, violence or any other garbage. just pure entertainment and joy. Try finding anything even close these days... lol
God, how I would love to be able to live my old days like that with a bunch of funny fools like that. But the communists are comimg and future looks grim:;)
I feel like I've watched these a million times and I still get caught unawares 15:25 and laugh out loud. And poor Howard, why can't he have a girlfriend that seems quite platonic without Pearl acting like a sadist? Great acting and writing. Thank you. 😂
I keep watching this comedy series even though it is no longer on TV. It is so funny. It would be great to see a series based on certain people's behaviour in the 21st century. However, the men should get their own back on the women . For example, a Howard type could grab "Pearl's" hand after being pushed around by Pearl.
Top drawer, soft gentle comedy. Should have ended it when Compo died or when foggy left for the last time. It just got cringe worthy and painful to watch for me after that. Funny how in the first series with Blamire, the characters were crude, swore and Clegg was not the nervous wreck who feared women as you saw a few series in.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"

Good old nora batty great actress
Great, and very funny

I love this show so much! It always lifts my spirits and puts a Smile on my face.
The characters are so unique and the humor is fun! Definitely the best of the summer wine 🍷!
Trouble is it went on far to long as should have ended after the “Farewell to Compo” episode and his funeral
I think there is a lot to offer even after Compo was gone. Alvin, Billy and Enthistle were a breath of fresh air that never diminished Compo's contributions. Truly of the yard brilliant actor sadly missed
The best show that was on the tv

Took me a few years too, so different from the Dutch comedies but now love them. And we all get old and die!
Best show ever throughout the world.
I agree!❤️
The best show on the planet

This must've been the longest running sitcom in the history of 📺 TV.
The scenes with the coppers are some of my favorites, especially how sometimes it's totally disconnected from the plot, like the little comic strips in the page margins of Mad Magazine
The show is so enjoyable missed a few episodes but catching up only one I'm still looking is funeral for compo he made the show
It's called "A small funeral."
You will cry. 😂😂😂
Thee is a right tulip😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"the PC's are always funny
in their cameos in each episode,
like in the older episodes when
Eli did his cameo appearances,
very good."-😆.

ELI WAS THE BEST.......HE WAS SO FUNNY AND
LOVEABLE ! 👍😁
"She's with him".

What a wonderful vehicle for the elder statesman n women of British stage and screen. I miss the ones who passed, and pray for those who are left! And thank them all!
Barry and glenda are the only ones left of the original cast
Howerds naghber is the voice on Wallace and grommet cartoon movies.
I’ve never found anyone who is as fascinating as my one true love: money. Lol.

James Godesky
Not forgetting Jean Alexander from coronation Street.!
That man he's on George and Mildred tv show
Alvin is George.👍
Love Nora Batty.

totally agree
oh then you haven't seen them all yet it has its fair share of sex and violence and its done in a grand way
Agree!
Roy Clark done only fool's and horses. Open all hour's. And was awesome. Passed away now. So no more still open all hour's. 👍
@@ticktock8993 John Sullivan wrote only fools and horses.
The best British comedy I have ever watched. Howard , best player on the planet. RIP Compo!
Always laugh when the police start talking about there under pants.
nora got it babno trollop
Nora Batty:"I don't want grit all over the yaaaaaard"
Ha ha I don't know which is funnier, this or Are You Being Served!
The other man plays Mr peacock on are you being served
Yes... That's why some of us are here😁
Hahaha, must get a shapeless apron hahaha
God, how I would love to be able to live my old days like that with a bunch of funny fools like that.

Not the same with out compo

Watch one episode and you become an addict, great harmless comedy for any age group
Not the same without Compo & Foggy 😥
I truly enjoy Billy and Alvin. They could have had a show of their own. The librarian can go though.
Ms. B. Churchill

Can anybody tell me if you can remove subtitles
Thanks

Howard and Pearl look alike my in law.
You couldn't get uglier than Nora! All the women got fatter as the show progressed.
Pipen good.
Truly awesome entertainment, British comedy is so much more entertaining then what we put out here in America.
The only thing that spoils this is the mega-loud laughter, which drowns out the words..very annoying.

I can't stand that Howard character. I love it when Pearl catches him. I look forward to see his schemes backfire.
My dad used to watch this and Dad's Army and was highly amused by both.. Perhaps you needed to be his generation to find them funny. Last of the Summer Wine always struck me as a sort of skip for worn out, clapped out, shagged out actors who simply did not know when to call it a day.
And with a better vocabulary than you seem to use. Shame.
The actors were old, however they were good actors who kept people watching.
No swearing or vulgarity and yet supremely funny, I would love to have them as friends.
Sour grapes to you Willie
