    Hi, I’m Meghann! I’m a recovering fitness and food addict, as well as a survivor of psychiatric drug withdrawal, a traumatic brain injury, and chronic illness. I’m a mother, a business owner, health and lifestyle coach and a certified personal trainer. I’m also a medically retired certified firefighter and advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
    Through my journey of disordered eating, the struggles of anxiety, OCD, and depression, and overcoming the only available treatment method presented to me at the time- prescribed medications- I was able to heal and transform my life with the proper human diet and other holistic interventions.
    Getting through the challenges associated with psychiatric drug withdrawal and being set free from Big Pharma has been one of my greatest blessings and accomplishments. I am a firm believer that we have the ability to heal ourselves through food, wellness, and lifestyle changes.
    Through this experience I came to realize my life's mission is to help others who may suffer with similar afflictions.
    My deepest pains, struggles and hardships have become my driving force to overcome the challenges life has thrown at me and I hope to empower others to do the same.
    With an abundance of life experience, I have a diverse wealth of knowledge and wisdom I want to share with the world.

    wow i was just reading tons of nutrition info and how to heal yourself with fasting and intermittent fasting and thought i wonder if this could help me get through withdrawals faster and heal my brain and gut! I just came off a 5 day water fast and i feel so goooood!!!! Also, healthy food tastes fucking AMAZING after not eating for 5 days!!!! I did mix a powder packet with sodium, potassium and magnesium that you mix with 32 oz of water so i had my electrolytes :) anyway it was good to hear meghan's story and i get the anger you both feel from being robbed part of your life and from having to go through withdrawals that are beyond what anyone else could ever imagine! I was in one of your new taper groups Angie and the only reason i am not in it right now is because i am beyond broke and my mom is having to help me which makes me feel like a burden but i am so grateful for her help and that i have good food to eat and a nice place for my dog and i to stay and my mom is a nurse so she takes my vitals everyday. She doesn't completely know how i feel but she believes me and she hugs me and she is a very positive person and my sweet service dog gets to live here with a nice big backyard for her so i am so thankful for that. Since I cannot go back to my teaching job right now i am going to try to do some food delivery so i can go to your tapering group or if possible a one on one session with you. I am a nomad too but i have to take a break and stay home until i feel better after this last cut i made on my taper but i will definitely be back out there again! Nature and travel is so healing for me!!!! I'm so happy for both of you for your healing and getting yourselves back! Thank you for this video it helped me a lot! Peace and Aloha, Diane :)

    Really good insights, including the importance of staying as active as possible in the midst, eating as healthy as possible, keeping the sense of hope and the knowledge that it does and will get better, and recognizing at some level that there has to be some ("spiritual") reason for the incredible suffering - like maybe being able in the future to help others going through a similar kind of hell. Depersonalization and akathisia seem to be critical aspects of the suffering. I'm wondering if akathisia and psychiatric drug withdrawal are essentially interchangeable, or if the condition of akathisia is considered one of the symptoms of psychiatric drug withdrawal? Thanks for any clarification, and thanks for the inspiring conversation!

      No they are not one and the same. Two different conditions. one can be caused by the other.

    Hi Angie, would be great if you had an interview with someone who overcame POTS. Not sure if any of your clients have POTS, particularly hyperadregenic subtype. Thanks as always for content! ❤

      ⁠@@AngiePeacockMSWAngie, how did you recover from POTS? I feel like everything is shutting down and I’m only 2mg into taper. Afraid to continue and confused how to even taper diazepam and I then have to get off Seroquel I was forced to take. Just think as every day goes by I’m getting sicker.

    I couldn't do anything productive going through withdrawl. I should've been hospitalized. I almost died many times. I couldn't even sign my name.

      YES YES YES YES YES YES. I love meat. But most grass-fed, pasture-raised, line caught. Stay away from CAFO meat whenever possible.
