TSPROF Professional Knife Sharpener is the most famous Russian knife sharpener. It is approved by professionals of knife craft in 84 countries of the world. The most effective decision to ensure really razor sharpness and qualitative sharpening.
Reference plane of the new K03 body has no horizontal inclination compared to the previous K02 model. The modern smoothly adjustable rack and pinion lift allows you to set the angle up to 0.05° precise. Angle range from 7° to 23° allowing knives to be sharpened to a total angle of 46°.
Dovetail mount of the new lifting unit guarantees absolute accuracy of the angle setting. An additional fixation screw allows to lock the lift firmly during work under load.
The clamp frame forms a long lever that makes it easy to rotate and ensures that the clamp frame is securely locked in place. We use only the most durable materials. The body of the rotating mechanism is made of hardened steel. Due to the spring and bearing system, the clamp frame is turned upside down without wear and tear.
The universal holder allows to use of all abrasive stones from 6" to 8.5" long and 1/8" to 3" thick with a sharpener. The holder perfectly clamps Boride and Arkansas stones.
The Outdoorsman set with the device comes with 5 TSPROF silicon carbide abrasive stones. The stones are medium-hard organic bonded, which allows to sharpen quick. Grits of abrasive stones in the set are 120, 220, 400, 600, 1000 grit (according to FEPA standard).
Steel stand which weighs more than 3 kg reliably holds the device on the table and allows you to do sharpening on any flat surface.
The mechanical angle gauge has a 1° pitch and helps to control the angle during the sharpening process while rotating the knife or changing the abrasive.

This is the best bang for your dollar best sharpener out there by far. Those individuals that are spending 600 plus to buy a wicked edge need their heads examined. I have promoted this sharpener for the past 3 years only to be ridiculed by Wicked Edge owners who hold a grudge against Russians. Which is down right stupid. I am a California born and raised American now living in Europe who can speak Russian as well as English. The whole mentality has to be changed about our Russian friends who are far more like Americans then those who are trying to divide and conquer our country. The Russian people are good christians and hearty simple people. They are far more like us than many other countries. Very glad you are doing this review and getting the word out on this sharpener. Wicked Edge owners you are getting scammed by Wicked edge for 600 dollars and still having to buy stones and double sets of stones to sharpen blades. This Russian sharpener is far easier to use. This sharpener is far more accurate and precise and quicker to mount and get a blade sharp. This product blows the doors off Wicked Edge. Spasibo Moi Drudge

no knife sharpening system is worth $600+ these prices are ridiculous! As far as im concerned the most important part of any rig is the stones and you can buy a nice set of stones and put them on a much cheaper rig and get the same results...tell me Im wrong.

You missed installing the knurled set screw on the front of the rod adjustment base. Once you adjust the height to the angle you need, you tighten down the set screw so the height adjuster does not have the chance of moving up or down while sharpening. Hope this helps.

Hey there! There is a 2 small allen screws right in front of the railing mechanism (angle setter) that with just a half turn will tighten or loosen the tension. You need to tighten it a bit and you won’t mess up the angle when sharpening the knife.
Also, you can park the handle/abrasive stone holder by just placing the stopper piece that is used to make sure u don’t hit the sharpening stone against the knife, straight inside the little pipe looking piece through which the actual handle/sharpening stone holder goes into. Hard to explain in words but I think you will get what I’m saying

At 15:59, the rack and pinion should have a locking screw on the front of the rack and pinion assembly to prevent the pinion from creeping or crashing down. There is a screw hole in the front of the assembly to fit that locking screw, but the screw is obviously missing, as can be seen in your video at 16:03.

You sir, are one lucky guy for them to send you that. I'm hoping to buy one in the next few days or weeks and I'm going all out for it top of the range. if I'm getting the best, might as well get the absolute top model. I'm not a knife maker or have a collection, but i am going to start collecting some of my few favorite knifes. Here in Australia, our knife laws are tough. we need a reason to carry and personal protection doesn't cut it (excuse the pun). so they will be for home use and for collection and show. plus i will get a high end kitchen knife set too. i didn't want a high end kitchen set till now so i wouldn't damage them trying to sharpen them without a proper knife sharpener. i know that there is alot of knife sharpeners out there and some a really easy to set up but not as precise as this one and if you are careful enough you could get similar results to this one and are so much more cheaper. but i am willing to pay more and willing to take the time to set it up adjusting it , so the angles are at the right angle for the type of blade and the arm is at the right length not to over shoot the stone.

It’s extremely nice and all and I’m sure it’s nice to use. I’ve used several of the popular designs and besides one giving a better mirror finish I can get just as sharp blade on the lansky clamped to a vice as that machine. So in a way it’s overkill a thousand fold. Beautiful machine though.

I just received my K03 today and boy was I excited...until I tried to get a 22.5 degree angle. The lift movement won't go higher than 20.1 degrees. I'm sure it's something obvious that I missed during assembly. Can you please tell me how to remedy this issue.
