Back in the A-4 for on Enigma's Cold War Sever. This module has recently been updated and now includes new versions of the Shrike missiles. A bunch of us hopped on to give them a try compared to the old ones.

Will be nice when the Shrike works again. Not sure what broke it in one of the updates, but sure doesn't work right now.
Brevity for anti-rad missiles is usually "Magnum," although the gentleman above says its "shotgun" for the shrikes, which, if true is badass lol
My menacing pass in the beginning there looked closer then I remembered it was 😂
"SHOTGUN!" is the traditional call out when launching the AGM-45 Shrike. 🙂

so it kinda works now? ECW SEAD with Shrike is feasible now?
Kinda? High angle dive or at least high altitude launch definitely helps. And lingering in the area to keep the radar active. Need more testing to make sure it wasn't a fluke, but 2 kills for 6 shrikes launched isn't bad
@@Dr_Jebus yeah....but for solo missions, I don't think I'll lug around 2 Shrikes that I know have a lower than 50% hit rate (which means very high chance of both of them wasted). But your video is a very good study since you can bring many friends and fire many. I'm sure its not a fluke, your method seems solid. Thanks!
I'm still not getting how this missiles work.. I'm within 8nm, all the tones confirm lock, but there's no loft and the shrike goes quickly to the ground.. :/
I've not really noticed them loft. They tend just to go right towards the radar signal. And if it drops at all then they go dumb immediately
@@Dr_Jebus are there any radar settings that I have to set to make them work properly? I' m really getting crazy to make them work..
@@massimilianofontana no. Just point nose, hear screetch, fire, pray. High altitude diving seems to work best

Yeah, pretty much. Though 2 out of 6 being effective kills isn't bad. Think the key is top-down attacks
