  • GreekReporter.com - Although the Chinese started immigrating to Greece very late compared to other countries, today Athens is home the newest Chinatown in Europe. Trying to get a good grasp of the Chinese community in Greece, we realized the two nations have much more in common than they think.

Greek people are the best!!! I have suffered so much racism in Italy on a regular… and every summer vacation I always go to Greece for a good break cos that’s where I got treated normally like a human being!!! I can’t be bothered going to south Italy even if there is beautiful sea but all the times I was there I always got racist encounters and they are nightmares! I love Greece!! Nice nice culture and polite people!!!

Interesting how chinese people speak (accent-wise) better in greek than in english :)
Such sweet children, speaking their minds and expressing their feelings from their point of view, from their innocence. So refreshing to see.
Thank you for the documentary, I enjoyed it :)

I noticed the same thing Chinese people seem to be able to pronounce the Greek much better than they can the English I found it remarkable. I'm a Greek Australian from Sydney and the Greek community and the Chinese community live side by side in peace and happiness the Chinese people are good people who are warm and polite. In the terms of immigrants there the immigrants Greece and Europe as a whole should continue to let in. Their culture and work ethic is an asset to any nation.

Ah well, if countries really wanted to cooperate and live in peace, they could achieve it through respect and solidarity. Unfortunately, each country is more focused on their own benefits, even if that means to destroy other countries. I wish, it was as easy as you describe it, but... human race has too many flaws.
And indeed, I checked other videos with Chinese speaking Greek language, it's incredible, they're pretty good at pronounciation. I wonder if Greeks could speak Chinese as easily :)

I am in favor of very strict immigration policies, i support the right of nations to to keep their ethnic homogenity (provided they have one) and i hate Communism.
Those being said the Chinese are one of the best ethic groups of migrants here in Greece. They have a strong cultural and moral identity, they do not make demands for our society to change in any way to suit them better, they are prudent, respectful and humble, their presence goes almost unnoticed and they are rly hard-working. In China or here, i have a deep respect for the Chinese. I hope one day you get rid of your communist regime and our countries can become truly close partners with lots and lots of mutual visits to our respected countries.
