  • This is a quick 'how to' DIY on replacing your oxygen sensors. If you don't want to pay full price for your OEM O2 sensor replacements, you can use a Bosch Universal Splice Kit for many cases. Follow along with simple steps to see how to connect the old and new O2 sensors. I'm using a BMW N54 335i (downstream O2 sensors) as an example, but each vehicle will have its own removal process that you need to source.

If colors come the same in the old sensor and the new one its easy. I had different colors to match and I am very unsure I matched them correctly. Mines are not working properly.

Yea, it's not always identical. There are different types of O2 sensors as well. This won't work for everything. You can try to source your OEM wiring schematic for your O2 sensor and then match up the wire types on the universal one.
