  • ALL MY VIDEOS ARE IN 1080P HI DEF SO CHECK THAT OUT...
the cheaper drum to disc conversion kit they sell that relocates a cadillac eldorado (79-85) rear disc brake caliper with bracket to an existing drum brake vehicle.
the car is a 70 chevelle with a 12 bolt.
these kit are sold for many different applications but this one is for 64-72 gm 10 and 12 bolt cars.
some 4x4 places sell these calipers for certain applications.
    $300 on ebay.
one of my first videos so feel free to comment anything that may help me make a better video... thank you

when the suspension is compressing, do the calipers hit the frame at all? had a problem with that on a rear brake conversion i got a while ago and looking at this kit as a replacement

My kit came with SS hoses with banjo fittings. Getting them attached to the brake lines was a
PITA. One line reached the fitting where the flexible hose attaches. I failed to find a male to male fitting to adapt the hose to the OEM fitting. Other users will be appreciative of your video as the location of the brackets was not pictured or describe well in the instructions. Be glad the brake caliper mounting brackets mount to the outside of the axle flange. Like pre-1965 Impalas. Mine mounted to the inside of the flange. This was not machined and the brackets were not square. Instructions were of no help.

Thanks for the reply. I hope I have enough clearance from the frame above the large caliper. Does the rear suspension travel up far enough up to bottom out against the rubber stopper on the frame? If so, I may have to limit my suspension somehow, or mount the dang calipers ahead of the wheel. I think it would look goofy though since the front caliper is at the 2:00 position. What do you think Chris?

ive never had a chevelle bottom out on the rubber stoppers... (but i have only had (68-72) mine has 2 inch drop springs and it will never bottom out... just put them on and if there are problems.. fix them when you get there.. make a video.... thats what people what to see on youtube...

you have to get rotors machined if they are too small.. or a machinist has to make thin rings to fit the gaps if rotor is too big.. hub centric rings..
