The biracial woman was raised in a 2 parent home with a white dad. She tried to point out that men of other races expect their wives to take care of the home while the men take care of most of the bills. She made some important points. I was raised in a 2 parent home with 2 Black parents. My mom spent the first 5 yrs of my life as a stay at home mom. My dad drank a lot, paid the bills but there wasn’t enough money to buy the 5 kids clothes or to pay for extracurricular activities so my mom went to work against my dad’s will. He still forced her to cook, clean and manage the kids while working. I never liked that for my mom and it broke her down. We have to be honest about what is happening in Black households.

I will only say that cleaning is left to the women but even then kids are quickly drafted into that role as soon as they’re old enough. Why do women act like cooking is so laborious like they have to go out and gather sticks for the fire and keep it burning? You season meats and place them in or on a machine that cooks it.

Being a house wife did these modern women is a retirement plan. It’s not their actual desire to be a wife.
My experience with life has been that we all struggle, Money doesn't keep death and illness from your door. In life you can't get without giving. When I want more, I already know I have to do more. When things go wrong, I look at what I did to assist that wrong and try not to repeat that.
There was one statement made during this 41 minute convo that said it all and that was about being “limited” as a housewife. Being a housewife and a mother is not a limiting thing. Raising and guiding the next generation is not a limiting thing. It is a position on honor and reverence. For whatever reason, modern women no longer think of it this way. Their priority is almost never the family. It’s almost always themselves. They don’t believe in self sacrifice for the family. That’s a problem.
