i just picked up a cordoba stage this month which is a very similar nylon string electric hybrid type thing, it is so incredibly fun to play. looking forward to hearing what you can do with that thing once you're used to the feel of the strings
This is one of the guitars that are on my to get list and I was so happy for you when I saw your post about it! It will be great seeing what you play on it and I will probably long even more to get one myself!

Godin makes an absolutely amazing nylon electric. Super flat board. I’ve had 2 over the years, but this Ibanez looks sick too
I love the sound of nylon strings. There’s such a warmth you just can’t get from steel strings. Very nice instrument!

@@SophieBurrell I have one and the XTC strings are not good and arent even what Tim uses. I've tried over 20 sets since I got it and without question there is one set that is so much better sounding and playing than all the rest. It's the Hannabach 815SHT Silver Special Super High Tension. It has 15lbs on the G string too almost every other set has 11/12 lbs and it prevents getting a nice low action. WIth those strings i'm at 2.1mm-1.7mm E-E on the 12th which is way better than how it came to me. Shipped at 2.8mm which was not very playable and unnecessarily high. Shaved the saddle down until getting to 2.1mm and i have no buzz at all ever still hope this helps because the guitar is amazing especially with the right type of strings on it

Grats. I got the same one. It's a fun guitar. Sounds much better plugged in, but the action is higher so it's a great practice guitar

That’s awesome. I still only have one classical guitar in my arsenal-A Yamaha my father gave me when I was about 10( 52 years ago). I’m waiting for my Ibanez to come back in stock from Sweetwater.
FYI - see your mackie studio monitors on your desktop I had the same thing when first started my home studio they are very good (budget) monitors - I upgraded to the Adam 7 inch monitors they are awesome and affordable but they work great for mixing - love your content
I got one of these several months ago and it wasn't easy to get a hold of. Mine came with terrible fret sprout and I was pretty disappointed. Luckily I have fret files and I actually just went ahead and did a full re level and crowning. Now it plays like a dream. This is the second time I have had issues with fretsprout on Ibanez acoustics. That being said, this was a worthwhile purchase and I play it everyday. I own over 20 Ibanez guitars and basses and never had issues otherwise. Obviously I am a huge fan of their instruments. Congrats on your purchase btw!
I don't know if it's only me but the guitar has the best tone!! those buzzing, the treble even unplugged that sounds amazing .Its just addictive, after 3 weeks for playing I can barely play playing god on 80 -90 bpm on my electric (still trying to find the best tone for it on my frontnan 10g) but whenever I hear anyone playing this specific guitar something starts happening to my brain its just addictive !!!!! ________excited for future videos!
I recently got the TOD10 but i've also been wanting to try out the Nylon, it's quite affordable for a Tim Henson sig might get one myself as well. Can't wait to hear some polyphia covers from u with this

Bought this a couple months ago and I love it. I love that the transition from electric to this is very smooth. It's basically just the feel of the nylon strings that are different, otherwise I swap back and forth effortlessly. And it sounds great and has good features. Hope you're enjoying it as well :D

I just got my Ibanez TOD10 this past Saturday. Even though the guitar sounded great and played well mine came with a bunch of manufacturing issues. The pickup selector wasn't really straight and looked like jagged teeth. I also had some paint issues on the headstock (I can't tell if it is just a slightly different shade in the area or if it is an air bubble that got through). Brought it to my local luthier to see if they can help me out. Otherwise, I might be sending it back to get a replacement. It plays and sounds so good though that it would be heart breaking to have to ship it back. Especially since they are on back order.
I got an Ibanez Nylon string and love it! Neck feels great. THe only other guitar I found that felt better were all $1000 plus

My god the contours on this thing in that sleek flat black look is just so beautiful beyond words. Brings a tear to my eyes. The spandex or whatever material that is really accentuates everything perfectly makes all those soft curves and peaks and troughs really pop out and invade the eyes straight to the lizard brain. Whatever artistic geniuses are responsible deserve a raise. Probably your parents, I'd imagine.

I played this and the version of Ortega, which is quiet a bit cheaper, side by side. The weight distribution and sound (especially plugged in) feel just better with the Ibanez and the big metal block in the Ortega feels just off.... But still both great guitars if you are an electric player, a lot of fun and I played stuff on Nylon with them i never thought of before. Enjoy it and get creative!
I've been messing with the Playing God intro myself. I can play it fairly well. There's a few parts where I think should I pluck that with my finger or use the pick. that's the key to smoothing it out IMO.
I am like that with (home) audio ... I like GREAT sound, and how one out does another (stereo and speakers)

This video really made me think about a current situation Im having and could use some thought on. I have guitars but none of them really inspire me like that anymore. I dont get excited to play them. Do you consider that more of an artist blaming the tools or is there really something to being inspired and WANTING to play? Sometimes I feel like I want to play but I'll pick up my guitar and it just feels boring.

I also own a T0d10N but man the quality control is crap on mine. Definitely lower the action a mm or so it makes a world of difference
It does sound great though.
Mines had some quality control issue as well. The screw where the battery pack and jack is located on the bottom of the guitar wasnt in all the way and was crooked causing the finish to crack and slightly lift at that spot. Apparentky Tims guitars have quality issue. Evwn the silver electric on he released which is disappointing people because people wait a while for these guitar and though this isn't the most expensive guitar. It is a couple hundred dollars more expensive than one of the same model just to have have his signature look.
I love this guitar. Everytime i see mine, i just want to pick it up and play it, its so cool

Gorgeous guitar. I ordered one when they became available. Received it 8 months later. Needed a major action fix and better strings, but other than that I love it. Oddly enough it didn’t make me be able to play like Tim though… hmmm...
I got super lucky, must've looked just as they came in stock because i looked about a month ago and they were sold out everywhere. Mine also needs a couple of little adjustments but nothing crazy
@@SophieBurrell Great to hear and thank you for the reply. I first thought the action seemed really high and having very little knowledge on nylon string/classical guitars in general and I was used to electric, so I looked it up. Seemed they were higher, even by those ’typical’ standards. I brought to lessons - my instructor is classically trained - and even he said it seemed on the high side. The strings seemed okay (to me) but since I was having work done, I figured springing for better set than what the factory likely supplied, it was a good option.
Anyway, looking forward to what you do with that beautiful instrument.

At first I thought it was an electric guitar but it turned out to be an acoustic guitar, Sophie Burrell's guitar is really cool

Yo, what is that guitar like to hammer on without picking? I tried learning sunset (Tim Henson) on a steel string but there’s a hammer run that is just impossible and being a fraud I blamed the guitar.

Just wanted to say. I appreciate the work you put into your appearance, but you are a pretty cool chick when you are being yourself.
I never thought I would buy an Ibenez, but I wanted Shakey Grave’s ES-175. I ended up with a George Benson signature model that plays and sounds great.
If you haven’t heard of these guys check out Manuel Gardner Fernandes and Ichika Nito. They’re just as badass a Tim Henson.
