  • VICE speaks to prolific acid house flier designer George Georgiou, who, among other achievements, popularised the yellow smiley face that became the unofficial mascot of raving. Creating work for Raw, Sin, Special Branch, Shoom, and more, Georgiou reflects on the 80s clubbing scene, the early days of ecstasy, and the police and media’s attempts to shut down the party.

    I don’t think there will be another youth movement like acid house.

      have been to a few of the Underground events around the UK in the last couple of years but they dont have as much of a buzz as the late 80 stuff - but the E was just MDMA back then and the tunes were all new so yea you cant really re create that - there will be other scenes though as kids get bored with the clubs and statrt their own things - I hope anyway

    that's so interesting! you should do an episode in the Kpop industry with a Kpop group coming from a small to medium size company, like ateez or something like that. Seeing their perspective on the industry and the unheard things behind the scenes would be fascinating

    Think people need to point out the amount of deaths caused by ecstasy. Probably don’t try and glamourise it as much.

      Or the amount of deaths caused by alcohol

    • @timc6669
      @timc6669 Před měsícem

      There was 2 deaths caused by "ecstacy" which probably wasn't ecstacy as its not very dangerous. Dangerous ecstacy is pills made by wankers on the street who want to get some quick money. Real ecstacy WASNT very dangerous, only got dangerous when gangsters got involved selling other more dangerous drugs under the name of ecstacy
