R FP Repetition and set up. The bosses all have rememberable patterns.
You probably realize this though.. It still doesn’t make it easy. Most people don’t have the patience needed to complete this.. especially in one siting.

Damn. I always thought the difficulty of Gael was a little overstated, but to not take a single errant hit from his trailing cape while dodging humanity sprites and stage hazards while doing SL1 damage is impressive.

I'm at Gael in my hitful SL1 run and, honestly, that Carthus bloodring helps a lot with the trailing cape attacks. The wiki says it increases the roll s by 3, wich seems like an insignificant difference, but it's very noticeable in practice.
I'm having better results fast rolling and sacrificing defense than I have when wearing a full armor set and rings that boost absorption. Still getting wrecked, though.
@@mm76.9hey ik this is an old comment but the 3 extra I frames makes ds3 roll the best in any souls game. Same I frames as the agility cap in ds2 and 4 less frames of downtime

Tbf, champ no parries is riskier than with parries
Gundyr parry is pretty consistent. There is not much that could go wrong if you know your timing.
Champ Gundyr without parry would be nightmare for a run like this.

Having never played a dark souls game, but having watched larger streamers attempt it this is actually an incredible feat especially considering how easy you make it look, great job!

You inspired me to try again to make it though the first fight, filthy casual I know, as a deprived. I’d tried it so many times I’ve played bloodborne, DSR, SOTFS and finished this game but couldn’t get the deprived passed Grundy.

About a month ago I tried to do an all-bosses SL1 run in DS3 and just couldn't cut it, I managed to beat every boss except Nameless King and the DLC bosses. I of course got hit and killed countless times, especially fighting bosses like Champion Gundyr, Dragonslayer Armor and Soul of Cinder. It just goes to show that persistence and determination sometimes aren't enough, to do something like this, you just gotta be hardboiled in hot molten skill. Kudos!

@xBirds I have beaten him on my third try, it's basically a patience game, bait the attacks then go in for the kill
@xBirds yeah I literally just bait, hit RB, Use weapon art, then preform the rolly polly technique to get to a safe distance and repeat, however on my second play through it took me like 15 times to beat him because I was trying out a pyromancer build

Storyteller’s staff can poison others. So he poisoned the boss and it slowly died
When I fought the demon king I just simply stayed between his legs and didn't take a hit. But I did take hits the rest of the game.
Four years ago, and maaaaaan, is it still an epic run.

Awesome. I just did my first ever speedrun. It was in ng+2, max character, every weapon, ring and spell and my disposal, it took almost 2 hours and I got hit so much, died 3 times. This is pure genius, you deserve way more views and subs. I'm subbing bc of the skill shown and your chill demeanor throughout.

The fact that his dps on gael was more optimal on a sl1 character than my over leveled sl 200.
For a "Voice activated" run, you can download a program called "VoiceAttack"
Which essentially allows you to bind keys (and combinations/sequences of keys) to Voice commands.
I use it for Elite Dangerous, so I don't see why it wouldn't work here.
Sick run though, this is fucking unreal.

There's a dude who completed all games back to back and if he got hit he started all over again so for example he gets hit by SoC so he goes back to DS1 and plays again until he beats all 3 games without getting hit.
