Michael is far better than anyone ever. Plus he played harder than anyone did, plus the game is so much more competitive and physical then than now. Today’s players get hurt by accident, like coming to the game, or just running down the floor, in the 70-90’s it was a very physical game for men, not over paid boys who cry.
This is the version of MJ that would average 45 points in today's NBA and win defensive player of the year. He was just so aggressive offensively, attacking on every possession. He also was a predator defensively, always looking for steals and blocks.
He averaged 37.1 for the 1987 season. But now there is no hand checking, the NBA allows offensive players full freedom of movement, there are fewer big men shot blockers, the floor is more spread and its much harder to double team perimeter players because teams are so worried about 3 point shooting.
Jordan's quickness and athleticism would see him getting easy drives and dunks. Its a perfect recipe for a 24 year old Jordan to challenge Wilt's 50 point average.
@jx23
Well, in 2006 Phil Jackson was saying that Jordan would be averaging 45 points a game under the rules of 2006. And he was not talking about this version of Jordan since he started coached Jordan in 1990. The rules got considerably more softer today than it was in 2006. For example, now you're supposed to " protected he shooters" etc. So, today Jordan would be averaging 50. Specially this version...
jxn23 I saw a lot of easy and open jumpers, no defenders in his face on the perimeter to force drives until about after the first quarter, trash double and triple teams, about zero hand checking, and inside defenders who barely jump. Players today can play defense, there is still good help defense and athletic shot blockers who can jump and reach higher than Jordan. The league on average today is more talented and athletic. Jordan wouldn’t stand out today athletically like he did in his time
Hein Jordaan Everybody is so worried about 3 point shooters so the lane is wide open in today’s game. Help defence is terrible and there are few big shot blockers.
If 1987 Jordan played today, he would be the most athletic player in the game. Seriously who can compete with him when it comes to jumping, quickness and speed. Zach LaVine? Dennis Smith Jr? Westbrook? Jordan has physical advantages over all of them
jxn23 look who was guarding him doe. Niggas thag didn’t lift and were tiny. U kidding me? FUCK the hand checking rule, he’ll play a bunch of niggas that are 6’8 240 with 40 inch verticals that’ll run the whole court in less than 4 seconds and u think the hand check rule being out is the reason why he’ll score 45? he’d average like 25-30 yea but no more
@@weewee203ohSpecz There's not one nigga in the league today that can stop or even slow down Jordan. Jordan would smoke literally everyone in his path. Larry Bird said it best, he is God disguised as Michael Jordan.
53 points last night, 50 tonight! Amazing!
How could you ever think anyone was better than this dude...
No one will ever be close to the level of basketball this man played. The energy, the focus, the agility and the skills are just of this world. 🐐
A steal, then scores over a big man, blocked a shot after, then drive to get free throws all in consecutive possessions. Damn he is just simply amazing to dominate both ends of the court. Never seen a player like him. The GOAT.
He's in another league. Even magic and bird didn't belong on the same court with him.
It's crazy that this man was 6 foot 6 and could get so low and be so agile, truly a monster anywhere on the court
The greatest basketball player of all time Michael Jordan!
Forever
Indeed he is legendary MJ
I love the young Jordan- so many fast breaks and so much energy on defense.
Right? And they say he can't do fast pace games on today's games. . Smh
He did fifty without a three! Whats more crazy is he dominated the game on both ends of the floor. Defensive highlights were sick especially the blocks! #blackjesus
If basketball was a poster it’s definitely MJ
Ahhhh the good ole days, the days of sitting at the edge of my seat watching this man play his heart out one game at a time. The epidome of basketball greatness.
MJ is the G.O.A.T period.
That had to be the quietest 50pts game highlights ever. It was that effortless.
MJ is still the ultimate basketball player to this day.
This Jordan always running tirelessly, coast to coast .As he got older he improved his 3 point shooting and added post moves and fade away in his arsenal so he could reserved more energy
MJ is ten levels above physically and skillwise. The man is perfect.
Lisa Rose he would murder the league today
If a 39-40 year old Jordan with one good knee could average around 22 ppg in a league that had a prime Kobe, Vince Carter, T-Mac, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Dirk, Garnett, Duncan, Iverson, and Shaq (and drop 40 or 50 in a game on any team if he got hot), then imagine what a prime Jordan with this type of athleticism could do to today's league.
Jordan would single handedly lift the NBA quality and force fools to lift their game, or he would literally embarrass them and dominate them.
40 year old stats are prime career highs for MANY .. exactly
40 years old is not old fool
@@blackentertainmenthistory8601 in basketball that's ancient
@@AntwoneAntJackson Why because most guys in basketball are teenagers or in there mid late 20's ?
MJ was everywhere. He was opponents' nightmare!
He was so damn good they used to Triple team him sometime quadruple team h i m and he still scored and score and scored some more and he was a shooting guard let that marinate the man is the goat
WOW MAN!, I can only imagine watching him in today’s game on HDTV. Would be too good to be true!
Jordan on the Home and Garden Network?
@@MandyZor-El HDTV not HGTV you boob. 😧
I remember sitting on my sofa, watching Georgetown play UNC for the NCAA championship, with my eyes glued on James Worthy. Even after Michael hit the famous jumper, I didn't see it. Dean Smith concealed, for 3 years, that he had Superman on that team! Haha! Just glad I was around to watch his entire career.
Babe . I Wana see u in hd
@@Mr25thfret glued on Worthy, probably wondering why he missed crucial freethrows thanks to Jordan for saving the day
He was so fast in the 80's! 90's he slowed a little bit but added more post moves and fade aways to his game.
Shiit 90s Mj was still probably more agile than 95% of the league at that time still
90's MJ may be slower, but his footwork is flawless.
@@andrewf0784 okay 40 is not that old if you're taken care of yourself, look at kobe Bryant he could have kept playing at 40 he was in great shape but choose to retire so he could spend more time with his family..
@@streetfightervsxenoverse1832 when you factor in an elite player that's 40 and has played 20 years in the league, 82 games regular seasons plus playoffs, torn Achilles tendon, broken knee cap, shoulder, and played with a dislocated finger. That body is 50 in basketball years. Regular human years 40 is not old. Kobe's body was done and he wanted to go out on his terms which very little happens.
Street fighter vs Xenoverse Kobe had nothing left in the tank. After the Achilles he was never going to be the same.
The only people that think Lebron is better are people that were too young to watch Jordan play. I wasn’t even a Jordan fan. I appreciate him a lot more now than I ever did because there has never been anyone as dominant as him since he retired.
I can't even count how many steals blocks that he had in that game..... I don't know how you can compare anybody to a 23, 24 ,25 year old Jordan! . He would belittle any player before him and after...and I mean any player!!
This man was just sooo ahead of his time.
The most DOMINATE/GREATEST Athlete of All-Time. Michael Jeffery Jordan"
Greatest basketball player. Gtfoh with that athlete stuff.
Jahleel X name a athlete more all around athletic and dominant then him I’ll wait
@@JahleelX-xx9wd a basketball player is an athlete, perhaps you think that an athlete plays all kinds of sports. There are other athletes who are best in their respective sports but Jordan is the greatest of them all in terms of 'Greatness'.
@@juanvences3127 Ali
@@jameschristiantaylor123 He was not more popular than Ali or a greater athlete.
This is unstoppable
What's crazy is he didn't even make either of the All Defensive teams and that's after having the NBA's first 200+ steals & 100+ blocks season.
In his early days, if MJ’s jumper was on like that he could score whenever he wanted and no one could stop him.
1:39 was a beautiful fuckin dunk look how he powers up to the rim from odd jumping angles
Hands, height, wingspan, instincts, and a Basketball IQ off the charts.
He was just on an absolute mission during the '87 season to prove that playoff spurt from '86 wasn't a fluke after his injury. He made it a point of attacking the rim every night and embarrassing any guy that might've thought his star was dimming. This was his first true "highlight" season. You wouldn't know that he was dealing with nagging toe injuries throughout the year. GOAT.
6:56 watch his handles
Look how intense his defense was!!! lots of steals blocks
he was the first player to record 200+ steals and 100+ blocks in the same season in 86-87
ESSENTIAL JORDAN an he did again the following year as well
@@essentialjordan23 but hakeem was also recorded 213 steals and 287 blocks
@@mustafeasad9377 MJ, did it twice back to back, while being at the guard position. I respect Hakeem tho.
@Lisa Rose Not necessarily, and plus, Centers and Power Forwards are more known for shotblocking. So, being a Guard and doing that for two back-to-back seasons, that's more than impressive.
I’m not even a MJ fan but i don’t see how some people think Lebron is better than Jordan
OMC Dj I don’t get it. I talk to people who make this argument and they have the nerve to say things like “Jordan never played a team like the warriors or spurs.” Silly. The teams in the 80’s and 90’s were really good
@@ricardovera116 he didn't. And u know u lying if u say he did.
Because it's an opinion
Jahleel X so the fact that every finals opponent the bulls went up against had the best overall record or at least top three doesn’t mean anything huh?
Lebron was averaging mvp type numbers at age 35 this year, while playing in a faster and way more better athletic league than jordan, i dont like lebron but you gotta respect his work athletic and abilities
He scored more on double and triple teams than 1 on 1 coverage!!!
Mj played against zone defense

MJ first step is a see you later to defenders.
This was one of his 3 straight 50-point games for Jordan. Unlike Kobe, Jordan did it against the best teams in the league.

My idol michael Jeffery Jordan the goat greatest of all time
Magic Johnson won the MVP that year and probably had the best year of his career. But in retrospect, Jordan was the better player that year.
that's enough to fuel MJ's competitiveness to point out that he is more better..such a killer.
SniffyPoo facts big homie!
Sterlin Jordan They owed Kobe for the previous times they robbed him in the past 🤷🏾♂️
@@tremain7056 Kobe was never, ever robbed of any MVP. The one he got was a career achievement trophy, it was close enough between him and Paul that voters decided we can screw Paul over without significant controversy.
opackdrum Kobe should have at least two...’08 and ‘03 for sure but at that time the Lakers were aiming for a 4-Peat so after Shaq won a few years prior to and since the Lakers had won the previous 3 championships the league had voters fatigue and gave it to Duncan 🤷🏾♂️
the damn truth man, so ahead of his time.
And is still ahead of his time even for today.
MJ ( 🐐 - at + d ) GOD
The best of the best: MJ.
MJ’s game made basketball look beautiful
He did it on both ends
mj draws lots of defenders, but still scoring.. the paint always has 3 white shirts on it
The stuffs that he did.. You can't even do that in games like 2K
An unstoppable force of nature. Just flowing up and down the court. He was the best. And no one is close. There can be only one.
I keep tryin to tell everyone , 80’s Jordan was the BEST. Personally i use his rookie year (85’) player on 2k over the higher rated (90’s) older MJ.
86/87..."Captain Marvelous" at his athletic peak!👊💪
TheRealist 811 91' was his last athletically freakish year
50 pts in both games back to back like what!
I love mj the goat
Jordan defense was superb
Does anyone realize the argument made against jordan being swept in his first 3 yrs while true is misleading. He either lost to the eventual nba champion's or the runner up to that years championship FACTS!
Infirmary Psycho 1
That’s all MJ haters have, mostly it’s those LBJ groupies but yea dudes act like MJ was in his prime with a superteam or something when he lost in the first rd. They don’t understand is that MJ had played 2 full yrs (got hurt in 86), he was obviously young, had no other all star and was going up against eventual champs & contenders. They also try to act like those first rd exits were the championship rd bc I always see how folks try to bring that up when we talk about his finals record being better than most. It’s funny bc even if you bring up those first rd exits against him, he still has less playoff series losses than LBJ.
It's just crazy! The test alone = GOAT
eazyduzit5150 y’all mention LeBron in every video, they’re both greats. Stop trying to divide. Both have had failures and both have rose far above their peers, both are all time talents. I’m a LeBron fan but I love mj too, both are great.
Red Demon
Where did I say LBJ wasn’t great? I mentioned MJ haters, right now it’s mostly LBJ fans, hence why I brought him up. Get out of your feelings.
Infirmary Psycho 1 thanks mentioning that bro. I keep telling people
he's got to be one of the greatest mid-range jump shooters of all time.
Michael Jordan was God in 1986-1987 his best season.
His best scoring season not his best all-around season. I'd say '89-'93 are his best overall season's from a dominate player on both ends of the floor point of view.
He was so fast and agile in the 80s!
He was in his prime in 1992.
He could have averaged 40 in 1991-1992, but he knew he had other players who could score.
87-89 was his true athletic prime, he did between the leg dunks and foul line stuff at the time, his all around prime was from 91-93, full skill set prime was in the last 3 peat though. He had more skill and talent than athletics. They’d always say “Vintage [Michael] Jordan!” after a dunk because he wasn’t flying, he was gliding.
87-88 best overall season.
Steve P but 86-87 was his best scoring season. He wanted to make up for lost time in the previous season.
'91-'92
1:37 "AIR" Jordan
Has anybody noticed that in the 2nd quarter he changed shoes to the lows and changed it back to highs on the 3rd Q?

It's impossible compare somebody with MJ23
the GOAT & it's not even close. Feel lucky to have seen him go off twice back in '91 in LA & NY
People may not realize but MJ's brother had the greatest impact on the mindset of MJ. When his brother was teaching him basketball, and they go 1on1, as soon as MJ started beating him he started to think that if he could beat his brother then he could beat anyone else.

Who said 80s basketball was slow pace? Look how fast these player and athletes they are!! ...Jesus 👀. These clip is shown Jordan early year he haven’t developed yet but pure raw strength and speed to win the game but when reach 20s late that when where skill take over the game. Slow but efficient he can still speed and use strength but use when necessary. Now that GOAT 🐐. Compete with Jordan is like living with full fed lion 🦁 it’s just about time. Jordan greed and ego make him untouchable, simple as said... he just want to win hahaha 😂
That's what I say. They said they can't keep on fast pace. Smh
The goat is michael jordan
The amount of stamina this guy had to average 37ppg on 50% shooting and win DPOY all as a guard who mostly shoots from the mid, that could never be replicated by any other player in history.
