    Michael is far better than anyone ever. Plus he played harder than anyone did, plus the game is so much more competitive and physical then than now. Today’s players get hurt by accident, like coming to the game, or just running down the floor, in the 70-90’s it was a very physical game for men, not over paid boys who cry.

  • @jxn23

    This is the version of MJ that would average 45 points in today's NBA and win defensive player of the year. He was just so aggressive offensively, attacking on every possession. He also was a predator defensively, always looking for steals and blocks.
    He averaged 37.1 for the 1987 season. But now there is no hand checking, the NBA allows offensive players full freedom of movement, there are fewer big men shot blockers, the floor is more spread and its much harder to double team perimeter players because teams are so worried about 3 point shooting.
    Jordan's quickness and athleticism would see him getting easy drives and dunks. Its a perfect recipe for a 24 year old Jordan to challenge Wilt's 50 point average.

      @jx23
      Well, in 2006 Phil Jackson was saying that Jordan would be averaging 45 points a game under the rules of 2006. And he was not talking about this version of Jordan since he started coached Jordan in 1990. The rules got considerably more softer today than it was in 2006. For example, now you're supposed to " protected he shooters" etc. So, today Jordan would be averaging 50. Specially this version...

      jxn23 I saw a lot of easy and open jumpers, no defenders in his face on the perimeter to force drives until about after the first quarter, trash double and triple teams, about zero hand checking, and inside defenders who barely jump. Players today can play defense, there is still good help defense and athletic shot blockers who can jump and reach higher than Jordan. The league on average today is more talented and athletic. Jordan wouldn’t stand out today athletically like he did in his time

    • @jxn23
      @jxn23 Před 5 lety +62

      Hein Jordaan Everybody is so worried about 3 point shooters so the lane is wide open in today’s game. Help defence is terrible and there are few big shot blockers.
      If 1987 Jordan played today, he would be the most athletic player in the game. Seriously who can compete with him when it comes to jumping, quickness and speed. Zach LaVine? Dennis Smith Jr? Westbrook? Jordan has physical advantages over all of them

    Does anyone realize the argument made against jordan being swept in his first 3 yrs while true is misleading.He either lost to the eventual nba champion's or the runner up to that years championship FACTS!

      That’s all MJ haters have, mostly it’s those LBJ groupies but yea dudes act like MJ was in his prime with a superteam or something when he lost in the first rd. They don’t understand is that MJ had played 2 full yrs (got hurt in 86), he was obviously young, had no other all star and was going up against eventual champs & contenders. They also try to act like those first rd exits were the championship rd bc I always see how folks try to bring that up when we talk about his finals record being better than most. It’s funny bc even if you bring up those first rd exits against him, he still has less playoff series losses than LBJ.

      87-89 was his true athletic prime, he did between the leg dunks and foul line stuff at the time, his all around prime was from 91-93, full skill set prime was in the last 3 peat though. He had more skill and talent than athletics. They’d always say “Vintage [Michael] Jordan!” after a dunk because he wasn’t flying, he was gliding.

    Who said 80s basketball was slow pace? Look how fast these player and athletes they are!! ...Jesus 👀. These clip is shown Jordan early year he haven’t developed yet but pure raw strength and speed to win the game but when reach 20s late that when where skill take over the game. Slow but efficient he can still speed and use strength but use when necessary. Now that GOAT 🐐. Compete with Jordan is like living with full fed lion 🦁 it’s just about time. Jordan greed and ego make him untouchable, simple as said... he just want to win hahaha 😂

    Hello sports fans, What we have here is an era of basketball that doesn't exist today. Here you see men cutting to the basket cutting throughout the middle and baseline movement. What you don't see is a bunch of 3s or flops. The particular era of basketball ball should be must see TV for any young team or coach.
