- The Everly Brothers were an American country-influenced rock and roll duo, known for steel-string acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing. Isaac Donald "Don" Everly (born February 1, 1937) and Phillip "Phil" Everly (19th January 1939 - 3rd January 2014) were elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.
Phil sang the harmony part of the songs, which is always the toughest. A great sound.
Sweetest man. He took time to give me good advice about my songwriting and otherwise chatted. Friendly, sweet, and I will always be grateful for his talent and those wonderful harmonies. RIP, Phil. If I ever get to Heaven I want to sing in the choir with you.
You could listen to Phil talk and feel is kind spirit RIP Phil
They were Perfection Plus, perfect harmonies and it's still very hard to accept that " Beautiful Phil " is no longer with us
I miss Philip Everly everyday😢
R.I.P. Phil and yesterday on August 21, 2021 his brother Don also passed away. R.I.P. to the both of them.
The GREAT and LEGENDARY Everly Brothers. Them and The Platters were the VERY BEST OF THE 50's!!
Die Everlys sind auch heute noch die besten.👍
Phil very special lovely voice
RIP Phil 💙
Didn't realize they were so popular in the UK! Time goes so fast. When I was a teen remember all their hits. My first 45 I bought was All I have to do is Dream. Still my favorite.
Phil was so handsome RIP Phil.

I keep watching and listening to them and each time i would cry. Can't help it. Don't know why. May Phil Everly rest in peace.
I feel no differently now than when I was a teen in the late 50’s.
Phil was a real gentle man, he loved his family and loved his friends, a very sweet man who cared❤️2021 I am sure we will see him in the resurrection that Jesus promised❤️
Hardt to believe Phil is gone ..I watch the videos of the everly brothers every day...😣
Same here ...I love watching the vids of them.
“The Everlys”. Best. Duo. Ever. !!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎵🎸🎸🎼🎶
their music, their work has become a modern classic. many generations will still have to say. were amazing musicians, people, artists.
PURE TALENTED ORIGINATORS
Phil came over as such a lovely mam
The harmony they both created was heavenly. Don being a very talented musician and song writer but I personally believe Phil had the better singing voice and became more successful than his brother when they split . However together they were unique .
I couldn't agree more.
@@cathflorence761 So do I!
I still get upset thinking of the loss of Phil. From when I was a 12 year old kid in 1959, he was the friend I never got to speak too
RIP Mr. Phil Everly. Miss that marvelous music of you and your brother Don together...iconic harmony that you both taught everyone else.
From brasil I love everly .
THE BEST HARMONIES EVER ..............MISS YOU ....... 💕💕💕RIP
A great loss........
Tears...
Many thanks for posting George. A fitting reminder. A sad sad loss.
Soundtrack of my youth 🎼🖤
Don now 80 said when he wakes up remembering his brother has gone it tears his soul out...l always thought they were twins so close knit.
Wonder why Don wasn't at his brothers side or even nearby when he was so close to dying.
@@chainamarie03 that is a good question!! WHY was Don not present when Phil was dying????
@@chainamarie03 maybe he couldn't be there? I couldn't be with my father when he was dying because I had to watch my mother. Lots of possibilites.
@@chainamarie03 The sad but true is they weren't even on speaking terms when Phil died.
They were close in their mind and physically very long together because of their job
The greatest harmony duo of all. Saw Phil solo in1962. Don was indisposed at that time but still a great show. Rog. Pacific sunset records.
RIP. 💕💕💕
Class
They were both great performers. Phil had the slightly higher tenor voice & sang the harmony or in some cases it was a double lead vocal. Don had a slightly lower tenor voice & usually sang the short solos. Don had a great voice for singing lead along with being the more prolific songwriter & guitarist. Phil had a sweet heavenly voice that blended perfectly with Don's great voice.
Gott ....Phil war so schön.❤
Great to see the Crickets backing the boys. They all hit the charts in 57 when I was doing my basic training in the RAF.
All i have to do is dream's.... I like song.
Sad loss
Rock and country LEGEND
Me encanta como cantan !!
Que tristeza! Descanse en paz
Phil was so handsome
So sad...
They were fantastic, they were influenced by the louvin brothers who in my opinion were even better . Check them out
What was the falling out about
From what I've read is that they were 2 very different ppl...different tastes and likes. They'd been awfully close since they were young and played and toured together till the togetherness finally got to them and after yrs of having petty squabbles things erupted when Don appeared on stage drunk and Phil walked off having enough. Both enjoyed and grew from bring apart...imo. they explored their own individual talents with both writing songs for other singers. Many times too much togetherness is just too much.
phil everly you are loved n missed!
Politics really....Phil was conservative, Don was strongly liberal. Chalk and cheese.
Phil was not born in Chicago! He was hatched and born in Kentucky! Get it straight bud.
SO MANY ARTIST DYING WAY BEFORE THERE TIME ,BAD DIET,LACK OF DAILY EXERCISE,DRUGS,SMOKING,ALCOHOLIC ETC IT'S DISGUSTING AND TRAGIC.
