- A Tale of Two Worlds follows Robyn, a fortune hunter looking for the treasure of the sun god. When a sudden surprise changes her plans she finds herself lost in the wilderness. With the help of a new friend, she will journey to the heart of this new world and face a challenge, unlike anything she's encountered.

This film was produced over a period of about eight months as my senior thesis project at the University of North Georgia. In that time I learned industry-standard software and practices. I had very supportive professors helping me along the way, although this type of animation is not taught at my school. In the fall of 2020, a group of my peers decided to learn Toonboom Harmony together. We made our first short film at the end of that semester. I continued to study this program, also learning Storyboard Pro to create the boards and animatics that build the story. I’m thrilled that in the short time I’ve worked with this program I successfully was able to bring you this film!

Robyn saw her chance to settle down with a crap ton of gold and a wife and decided to destroy her chance of going back to her own world and that's very valid of her.

I like it, the story always makes me want to know what happens next. There's also a touch of mystery like why did the dragon want the ball so bad? It doesn't exactly look like a treasure after all.
The characters feel real, they have distinctive personalities without falling into stereotypes! And they become good friends. I love that :3 Though Robyn may have been a little quick to go from "I dislike you" to "let's be friends".
The designs are cool too, I really like the forest. It feels magical and it gives a good idea of the type of world she fell into.
The movement of the camera/characters isn't very fluid though. It's good, but there can still be improvement
Anyways I wish you the best, I'd love to see more animations like this! I'm a big fan of adventures and friendships 💙
Considering the ball was the "key" to a portal, which was needed to reach the treasure, it was definitely important. As for the Dragon? My guess is that either the previously mentioned Sun god left him there as a guardian or the dragon took over the hoard for himself. If it's the former, the girls might be dealing with a pissed off god later on...
I actually thought the orb might have been an egg with a baby inside.
I'm still amazed at just how much story can be told, without the characters saying a single word, and this is a splendid example of that. Plus, I love the visual style on display her.

The first time I watched this film, I was unfamiliar with The Crane Wives. This time around, I recognized the song instantaneously. I love this video's narrative, the art, and the song accompanying it all. Excellent work!

It’s hard to express, but wow, this is such a great video! Interesting character designs, a compelling story that leaves me wanting more (like, seriously, I’d love to find out more about both of the leads), a great song that I never would’ve heard of without this video, and great animation as well. It’s just really well done all around, since the characters express themselves perfectly without needing to say a word, while those rare times we get mouth movements, it’s pretty clear what they’re saying and does a good job showing just a little more of the characters’ personalities.
I would absolutely love to see more of these characters and this world, this video just has so much story potential to it. Excellent job!

I love it!!! but if I can offer some advice... I find that the music feels disconnected from the story, like if the original audio was replaced. At first I thought I had the song playing in another tab! I would personally try to plan the animation around the song to match the beats, or add some sound effects for example when she's running or anything like that that wouldn't feel intrusive! But aside from that, omggg it's beautiful!!!!!
