See me find an Australian sweetheart brooch whilst Mudlarking in The Thames czcams.com/video/YeKuQ4Eri4E/video.html
All the women in my family sewed, so the silver thimble sparks my loving memories of them all sewing thier beautiful clothes. 😻
You’re right the last two items were very meaningful. I love the ring. I could just imagine the person wearing it and looking down and saying yes I can’t believe they married me. When you find that special someone it’s such a wonderful feeling.
Great finds and great video Si!!
Loved the ring and the history behind the words "Ever Thine"💜😊💜
Lovely isn’t it 👍🏻🐾🧡
Finding that lovely little honeybee on the thistle was my favourite treasure😃
Yes Jan! Save the bees. Still no takers on my bee hotel 🤨 🐝
Ever thine! Such a beautiful ring with a beautiful story. I can’t imagine how it ended up in a field. Great finds. May not bring wealth but the history and stories. Hope you go back soon. Stay safe. 🦋
Thanks Sis! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
I don’t do any of these things you do and I’m invested into your channel. It’s fun to watch you nerding out about your finds with your friends. It’s interesting to learn. I’m also enjoying your artsy crafts.
Cheers 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Wouldn’t you love to mudlark full time? If I ever came into money (😂) I’d do it! Keep these amazing videos coming!
It would be nice. Maybe if I won the lottery I’d do it 3 times a week - just so that I can have a day off to look forward to going out 😉
I was a picker of antiques in Washington state and I made enough for vacations to Disneyland and Canada. The beauty of being a picker is that you can go anywhere and pick. If you’re good, you can have your vacation paid for by picking.
Man, I love this Terry guy. Any excuse you have to chuck him into a video, do it.
Agreed...!!!😋
Yes, I so enjoy the Terry videos too!
As cuppa accompaniment , this does rate high--Sundays are Si days, with a side of Terry too--thanks to you both for the great finds and walk !
Pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
I add Nicola's mudlarking and Sunday morning mudlarking is golden. 👍
Really enjoyed. Thanks for sharing. Some great finds and cool info. Loved that sweetheart broach and ring
As always I enjoyed watching. I really appreciate your kind and caring spirit. I really admire that you don’t just go out alone but take friends and have a fun day of it! You’re a good man!
Thanks Suzie 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great finds Simon. It’s so strange how many objects & possessions are left behind in fields. Awesome!
Cheers Adam. Lots were from clothes. Old clothes were given to the ‘Rag and Bone’ man, the bones would be used in bricks and the rags put on fields as fertiliser, and often there would be things in the pockets as well as loads of buttons
@@Sifinds WOW! You should mention that in your next MD vid. :)
I will never stop being amazed by what's buried beneath our feet 😍 Awesome video Si 😘💕
Thanks Beth! Me neither, a pot luck of lost treasure awaits!
I so enjoying sitting back with glass of wine watching your videos, so relaxing and interesting.
Great hunt. Terry really does look like the handsome coin gent.
Nice finds! It quite shocking how little these coins are worth now...But the joy of finding them is priceless. 😊
Right!
Great finds....lucky to find such historical pieces.
Thanks Anne 👍🏻🐾🧡
Now every time I see someone find a coin I will be calling it a Terry coin. Fun hunt with lots of interesting finds
The silver 'Royal Navy' badge is a small copy of an RN officer's cap badge with a king's crown, so George VI, they are called "sweetheart broaches" and were popular during WWI and WWII.
Beautiful finds xx
Nice day for you and your friends awesome coins 👍
thank you soo much for valueing your finds
What a wonderful day in the field. All that history is priceless! Si-finds time team🤩😊
Thanks!!
Not only your last 2 items but all of your finds are priceless Si. History at its best. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Viv! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Fun change to see you out in the field detecting. The super close-up camera work is fantastic!
I did enjoy the adventure immensely. Thank you for sharing all your great finds… Best of luck on your next adventure….
Your giggle is so infectious! 😃. Love seeing what you and your pals find.
Thank you Si, for taking us along. The ring was my favorite find.
Great treasure hunt Simon and some lovely finds. Although the value of the coins didn't amount to very much, it's in the thrill and the magic of discovering them that the true value lies. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Yes spot on mate. You get it 👍🏻🐾🧡
Fun to watch an older episode! 👍
I was on a ranch in Mexico about 25 years ago and they still used bells on their cattle. The bells were much larger and definitely not that elaborate, but It did make them easy to find. This ranch was over 10,000 acres which is one of the smaller ranches in that area, but it was very rough terrain with extremely thick brush.
The best inventions last the test of time
Rose Farthing would be a great name for a character in a mystery novel...lol
Haha it would
That ring is so sweet, love it! Also love the horseshoe.
Thanks Viv!
Great video! Love the finds, especially the "forever thine" ring. Thanks for sharing and stay safe!
Thanks Kathi 👍🏻🐾🧡
That little silver navy badge is a peach, nice find man 👏🏻👏🏻
14:43, WW II sweetheart pin minus the brooch pin.
Excellent video. Congratulations to you and Terry on your discoveries.
Cheers Jay! 👍🏻🐾🧡
The old english monetary system was confusing if you didn't understand it.the farthing was the least valuable,a quarter pence.i thought I had it down but then I found you had other coins like the groat and the florin that wedged in between the shilling and the half crown.the new system is better but a lot less fun.
Love the stories about the finds more than the finding part, thanks Si you really make it interesting, cheers the soul.
What a lovely ring. I love the sentiment and you presented it with great sensitivity.
great haul! especially love the fuse cap. brings to mind "the few".
You guys found some wonderful items! I especially love the Royal Navy sweetheart brooch and the "forever + thine" ring! Wow, so cool! 💜
Thanks Alisa 👍🏻🐾🧡
So 520ish years ago someone was walking there and lost their buckle. What was there that long ago? It's hard to imagine. Especially here in the US. That long ago we were barely negotiating with Native Americans for our survival!
Nice finds mate, I believe Terry's small buckle is actually a garter buckle from the late 18th early 19th century 👍
Got a link?
Sorry mate no, but there in the buckles book by Ross Whitehead,👍
Absolutely beautiful finds,so romantic and tender, just to think of the people who had the ring and the recipient of such a tender item, takes my breath away,💘, thank you so much si for the round ups really appreciate it 💝
Thanks Anna 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Amazing finds! I really look forward to your videos, they’re always fascinating!
Thanks Linda! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
Thanks for sharing your knowledge of your finds.
My pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
Wonderful learning the history! Thank you!
Simon, I love that you know what all these obscure bits of shrapnel are! I would be clueless!
Thanks Jane. Years of practice. 👍🏻🐾🧡🤣
The poignancy of the ring find and where the phrase came from.....good work Simon! You bring these finds to life. Good work !
Thanks Elaine! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Beautiful bits 'n bobs!
The value of the coins is a fun anecdote, bc the 'true worth', is in the finding!
That chunky Cartwheel penny is stunning! & I like the big horseshoe, too!
Some of my favorite finds are the crotal bells...I have bells in my house, that tinkle, plonk and bimmel when a breeze goes through the rooms 💚
and as always, I enjoy the clean-up!
Thanks Si - love from Denmark 🌸💕
Thanks Z , spot on, that’s the message I was trying to get across. You get it 👍🏻🐾🧡
Always enjoy everything! So much fun reading the labels on the records! Know them all! Stevie from AZ
Thanks for letting me join you on this lovely trip.
My pleasure Rob! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
What most people don't understand is that most metal detectors are not in it for the riches, and money. We are in it, so save a little bit of history, to find something rare, and cool, and old. Nothing better than sharing a new coin or good find with people!
Spot on Jon
Nice finds Simon you two did very well!!!; )
Great finds!! Thanks!!💕😺😺😺
The nose cone dropped my jaw! 😯
Love Mud Lover's Hi Terry This makes my day 😁😁😁😁
Hi...✌️
Lovely way to spend 31 minutes of a Sunday afternoon. Enjoyed all the finds but the ring was awesome and the silver thimble made my heart sing. Hubby gave me a metal detector and pin finder for Christmas and I am waiting very impatiently for the snow to go. So looking forward to March. Have a wonderful week and please keep safe. 😊
Cool. Get some Luck in the Muck!
Love the bavarian coin, great find. It makes you wonder how it got there
Yeah it does! 😊👍🏻👣🧡
I love that ring amazing find!
The ring was my favorite and the story behind it is priceless!!!
Great adventure Thanks for taking me along!
Pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
I worked in a museum that was dedicated to coinage and please, tell your friends to not clean their coins. Of course you can nylon brush them to get dirt off but steel brushes destroy the coin and any value it has. The damage is not reversible. Leave the verdigris (green) Well done on the finds!!!
Thank you for a very interesting video Si. Such a variety of coins, military finds & information. I would like more of these, please.
My pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
You need to auction these off in the states; and I don't mean eBay. We are suckers for anything before the U.S. Civil War (circa 1860) since our country is so much "newer" than those in Europe. Hold online, live auctions on your channel, with pieces found in specific videos - and you would make a killing. We buy things for pop-culture and sentimental value, which is much, much higher than book.
Nice finds! Keep up the good work! Great video!
Thoroughly enjoyed again love the sweetheart ring and the cartwheel penny your friend found also the artillery timer it cleaned up beautifully I have to say the hawk flying above was so awe inspiring. The way he was moving his tail feathers sideways to turn so amazing so again thank you for something different to watch I love metal detecting have a great evening it was the first day of Autumn here in Australia and my daughters birthday 1st of March ☺ so a precious date for me ☺
Thanks Shell!
Wonderful finds and love the history!❤
Cheers Shiela 👍🏻🐾🧡
Wonderful finds, Si...good to see both of you romping in the muck with about a "grade BEE" for the flower shots!...lol...seriously great positioning of the camera! Go Team!
Now I can't wait to go detecting and it's only three weeks till spring! Many Thanks to you and the Silverado Terry! Some really great finds and hopefully you'll find that rare early gold coin this year Simon! And the bird was a kite I believe? And thanks fir completing my Sunday and now onto Nic! Love, Peace and Joy of Luck inna Muck! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

Thank you 👍🏻🐾🧡
Lovely stuff once again. Love all of it
Thanks! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great day out - priceless!
Well said!
Loved the kites, loved the bells. Thanks for sharing as usual!
Pleasure 👍🏻🐾🧡
I like your Etsy site. I met a lady that turned old silver cutlery into wind chimes. Beautiful sound.
Thanks. Yes cool idea. I made a pipe wind chime last year. Check out that video
I made wind chimes out of old silver cutlery for myself. I wrapped the handles in silver wire that I had added a few glass beads to to reflect the light and attached the ends of the wire to chains to hang. That way I didn't harm the cutlery.
You know, you are 50% antiques roadshow, and 50% Lock stock and smoking barrel!
A cool combo.
Sorry,2smoking barrels.
🙄
I love the variety and history of your finds
Thanks Angela! That’s right, you can never predict what will be found next 👍🏻🐾🧡
Love the videos man, it's exciting to see what you find!
Thanks Paul! You don’t see all the lead and crap I find too! 😂
So much history! I always enjoy your artistry, the display of all the coins on the blue is very appealing to the eye. It would even be a good watercolor study...
Thanks Clell 👍🏻🐾🧡

Thanks Ruby 👍🏻🐾🧡
Great finds SI Love to be there 🇨🇦❤️
You are the luckiest fella !!! We dont find cool stuff like WW2 relics and ancient coins over here in the southern US. 😏 My 10 year old son is a WW2 fanatic and he's literally jumping around right now watching you dig that timer !!! Maybe one day i'll be able to get him one of his own 🙂
