    Of course us firearms guys are cool with videos. We love people joining our shooting sports, hobbies and love when someone decides to carry for defense. The world is a safer place with more responsible, armed people in it. It's a great family past time and I think a lot of anti-gunners would even have fun with it.

    Nice to see the vid. I took my CCW class yesterday. Disappointed that mine didn't even include ANY shooting. For the price I at least expected to get some free range time :) Was really surprised .. was sure that was a basic requirement but the course was certified without it.

    @theKGB65 We shot 18 shots at 3 yards, 18 shots at 7 yards and 12 shots at 15 yards. It is funny, I have never had any trouble with my Glock but I looked down at one point and the slide lock lever pin was hanging out half way. This frazzled me a bit because they told us not to bring a lot of stuff so the instructor had to take the pistol in another room and pop it back in. It all worked out ok in the end :) Thanks!

    here its an 8 hours class, hit 40/60 rounds on the target anywhere and pay $75-100 to the sherrif dept, then in a few weeks if ur not a felon they call u.

    We don't have a class for this here in Indiana all you do is fill out the App. get your card and carry but i think some rang time with leo's or guys that can train ppl to shoot right is a good thing.

    Interesting, just took the course Saturday (9-28). No restrictions on # rounds loaded. Shot at 5, 7, & 9 yards; 20, 20, 10 shots respectively. You beat me on the written. I missed 3 questions somehow. Easy Day.

    • @ArtisanTony
      @ArtisanTony  Před 4 lety

      I guess each instructor has his own philosophy on limiting the number of rounds. I thought he was just using that to tell us how many rounds we would shoot and figured it would be easier to keep up with :) He didn't seem like a safety sally.

    I joked about the FL CCW class... But if forced me to think through many situations and whether using a weapon would be lawful. I took the class a second time when my wife got her CCW and continued to learn and think about what I would do if someone was breaking into my car in my driveway (nothing, call the police), the house next door, (depends on whether you know it is occupied or not) and many other circumstances. Great shooting. J R

    That's some might fine shooting! We could load our mags to capacity, but we had to hold in the "ready" position (pistol aimed down at the target's hand) while the revolver people reloaded.

    Any chance you could upload a detailed video of a ccw test? Tests, requirements, and anything else? I would like my CCW but at $75-$100 each time I can't really afford to fail any.
    I believe in Missouri I have to pass both a semi and revolver test as well, shame since I will never own a revolver and no one I know has one to train with :/

  • @wolverine2221
    @wolverine2221 Před 5 lety

    They let you pass weapons??
    That’s usually isn’t allowed indoors. In Texas we loaded different amounts at different times- we also had to stand in ready position after loading, and then we would raise and fire on command, then return to ready position and await further commands-
    Guess it depends on the instructor and state.
    Interesting..

    • @ArtisanTony
      @ArtisanTony  Před 5 lety

      He let two guys share a stall. They did not pass the pistol back and forth. One would shoot then the other would step aside after making it safe. I thought it was strange too but they apparently cleared it with the instructor prior to the class.
