    So we liked the Evenflo 360 due to it being very Cushioned in all areas compared to most car seats we found. But just found out they make a slim version which would fit our back seats better. No store has the slim version to check the padding/cushion on it. Do they seem about the same in cushion?

  • @kis4beauty

    I currently have the 360 Slim and 360 recline right now that we are testing out. However, the issue with both is the digging into the thighs that the bottom clips provide when snapped in place. I have tried adjusting the bottom straps and padding but my toddler still complains. He's a slim guy so sadly these may not find a final resting place in our vehicle.

    How would you compare this the the Nuna Revv?

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před rokem +2

      I mean I love this seat for the price. Granted the nuna is much cuter looking/more premium/better harness fluidity but this seat is an incredible value for the cost. It also holds a bigger child so I love that. I find the install on both easy and both have anti rebound features so both are awesome choices. If you want to spend less and want it to hold a larger child go with the Revolve but if you love the look of the Nuna and don't mind the cost and the lower weight and height limit that is also an amazing choice.

Appreciate the time you take to make these very informative videos! This will be the seat for us- Slimmer to fit seats side by side, (newborn in the middle and toddler in passenger seat) and the fact that it holds taller children rear facing will be needed for us.

    Can you pleaseee help me? My 2 year old is still rear facing but we can’t get the bubble in the black area for him since he’s 34 lbs. is it okay to use a rolled up towel to make the seat sit more upright? Otherwise it’s too reclined.

    Our baby has not been a fan of being in his bucket car seat and we've had to deal with a lot of crying. How is the slim version in terms of comfort? Trying to decide between this and the extended version. Our little guy is very tall and slim.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I think if you don't need the slim I would go with the Revolve Extend. It is wider in the seat area so as he gets bigger it probably will be more comfortable. Totally your call but just my two cents. Best of luck!

  • @bannanna111
    @bannanna111 Před 11 měsíci +1

    I get that you wouldn’t want a baby to be too upright but can a the child be MORE reclined than recommended? I’m thinking if my guy falls asleep, it would be nice to be able to recline him more. Is that a safety issue?

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před 11 měsíci

      So over reclining in rear facing is def an issue. This one can be in the upright or reclined in rear facing but has no recline in forward facing. There are seats that have forward facing recline but it's never very pronounced. I am sure there is a specific angle that they have to all adhere to in either mode for MAXIMUM allowable recline but I do not know those figures off the top of my head. A little wordy but I hope this helps answer your question :) Thank you so much for watching.

    Anything i should know when considered switching my 3 year old to this from the Clek Foonf? She has cerebral palsy so she cant walk or get herself into the car and we want something to make it easier. Shes also 80th percentiles height but 10th percentile for weight so she is a tall but skinny kid. She has great head and neck control, no issues there. We are considering using the foonf for our second child once she is out of infant. Originally my intention was buying two foonfs for our kiddos because they are good for tall kids and nice and narrow.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před rokem

      I do think this seat may make sense for you. The only thing is the Revolve 360 extend has a taller shoulder harness height. If you can spatially afford a slightly wider seat I would maybe suggest the larger of the two since it is only $50 more and can hold a taller bodied child. Best of luck switching that young lady over to a new seat. :)

    Does the seat wiggle a lot when its installed? The base is correctly installed with mine but when i put the seat on and in rear facing, it wiggles around

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před rokem

      The rotational seats seem to have this issue. You get more flexibility in the seat itself so you hear when those parts are moving. But interestingly even the seats that turn 180 degrees like the Graco turn 2 me have some movement when they are in the rear facing (rotational) mode. I think it's the the way they operate with that movement which enables them to have some play while unoccupied. I know for the Nuna we have heard the suggestion to turn the seat in forward facing mode when it is unoccupied to help reduce that noise so maybe that might be something to try? best of luck :)

    Is the revolve functionality something that will make it significantly easier to get our child in/out of the car? I have a 10 month old kid who is 30.5 inches tall. I am debating between this and the clek foonf as we transition him out of an infant seat. How does this compare safety wise in your opinion?

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před rokem +1

      I mean the Foonf is superior for safety. They are the leader in terms of safety features published testing for their seats so it is really hard for me to not point that out when people bring up safety as being a priority. The hardest thing I found with using my Foonf with my sisters kids is that the seat sits up very high in the car so lifting them at the older ages was a little more challenging. They do get to a point where they can be more helpful getting into the car but it's def the biggest annoyance with daily use of that seat. The revolve will hold your child rear facing for longer tho. So like it takes a longer body and holds 50 pound rear facing with an anti rebound bar. Plus the rotation is really amazing. I love both of these seats for different reasons but I will always say I feel Clek has the most safety features, most metal on the actual seat itself, and does the most with published testing so its really hard to beat that. And that isnt even taking into consideration they have rigid latch in FF mode which is a HUGE safety feature. Hopefully this is helpful to you.

      So they do not have designated spots that they call out on the fabric but I found I was able to successfully tuck them over into the cup holders. When I do my ranking video I will make a point to show how to do that. I love having this feature and on the SLIM it can. I am not sure about the other revolve but I will check by the time the video goes up :)

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před 9 měsíci +1

      The strap that you pull to tighten the harness around the child's body, if you put your finger on that strap and follow it up to the car seat and see the hole that is covered by fabric and put your finger in there you will feel a silver tab. You need to press on the top of that silver release tab and at the same time you take the harness (usually I will grab it near the shoulder) and pull the harness away from the car seat while you are holding down on the release tab. You do have to pull with a fair amount of force but not an insane amount. If you are doing these steps and still having issues I would absolutely contact Evenflo customer service to make sure your seat is in correct working order. 1-800-233-5921.

    Are these good to use for the center seating?

  • @kristina3839
    @kristina3839 Před rokem

    I notice there was zero mention of how the incline position is supposed to be more upright due to weight and how to get it to that position. That’s what I’m having issues with. My 17 month old needs more of a upright position and I’ve been trying to figure it out, yet no video shows the difference for weights and how to do so.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids  Před rokem

      So your 17 month old is under 22 pounds? In fairness all convertible seats have recline rules that have to be followed in order for use. Some seats have more recline positions than others and some may allow a more upright positioning prior to 22 pounds. I'm struggling with how you would be able to make a choice about how upright your child will want to be at a certain age when they aren't that age yet. Like there would be no way to know at 12 months (Typically the age of the child when a parent purchases a convertible seat) that at 17 months your child will be "X" weight and need to sit up a certain uprightness. So while I can empathize this is bothersome for you all seats would have this issue in terms of certain recline positions in relationship to the child's weight. Let me know if I am misunderstanding something. There is the more reclined position for children under 22 pounds and then the seat can sit more upright once they are past 22 pounds. My best friends 9 month old was 27 pounds so kids vary wildly by size and it's possible not every seat will meet every desired use at every age and weight.
