    I’ve seen a couple of reviews about the trvl dubl being top heavy and tipping over easily. One person wrote that their child stood to readjust and it the dubl fell backward and the child hit their head. Another person wrote that they were walking with a car seat and toddler and hit a bump and the stroller almost tipped over fully. Do you feel like the sturdiness of the dubl is questionable or lacking in comparison to other side-by-side strollers like the Zoe twin?

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids Pƙed dnem

      So a child stood up in a stroller in the seat and it fell over? That could happen with literally any product that they are not supposed to stand in. I don't find that Zoey is particularly sturdy myself. Zoey is known for being highly lightweight so if anything I would argue a TRVL Double is going to be significantly sturdier. If people use products not in alignment with the directions then problems can happen but I feel that is true with any product. Also they are pretty different in price I wouldn't really put them in the same category for comparison.

    Awesome video, Gina! (as always...) Question, please: We are strongly considering the Wave 3, but aren't too excited with the color choices. We much prefer colors on the Wave 2. Would we be foolish to go with a Wave 2? What would be missing out on between the two? Are there major differences between the 2 and 3, or are they the same only slightly updated? Or, is this a major update/overhaul to the overall design that phases out the 2 completely? Appreciate your time.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids Pƙed 6 dny

      The biggest difference is the inclusion of the 2nd seat. So in the older model when you bought the 2nd seat separately it included a liner, harness pads, a canopy, and a front bar. On the wave 3 you are trading those pieces around depending on how you use the stroller. If I had twins this would matter to me more than children of two different ages. I am still checking on ordering those components separately if you did want them but currently do not have pricing on that. The frame design is the same but has less silver cross badges and flash as that adds to cost on the product. So wave 2 has more flash in some ways. Thanks for watching :)

    Ok this is quite possibly the best video I’ve seen on a diono seat lol honest and informative. I’ve been struggling HARD to choose between diono radian seats, and the more I look into it the more I’m thinking they’re all the exact same seat just the more premium versions come with more accessories? I’m so confused lol. My 3 year old wants a pink seat, but right now I can get the “upgraded” versions in black or grey for the same price.. I’m just trying to figure out wtf the difference is lol.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids Pƙed 6 dny

      Hey so generally speaking they are all the same seat frame but then its just additional bells and whistles tacked on to different models. And to be clear I am not saying that is good or bad but like it is one seat style and then additions or subtractions based on things people may want. The versions that have the head piece on the interior that move up and down sometimes function better as a booster seat because IN THEORY you can adjust it down if the kiddo is short. I would argue if you need the shoulder strap of the car seat adjusted lower your child is probably too small to be in a booster seat. The ones with the shifting head rests get better booster seat fit ratings from IIHS if I remember correctly. The head pieces can also be useful if a kiddo falls asleep and you don't want as much side to side drop off. If the kiddo is rear facing I would probably buy up to a version that is compatible with the anti rebound bar which is used in rear facing mode. If the kiddo is forward facing I wouldn't worry about that. Hopefully this is helpful for you and she loves her pink car seat :)

    Great video - thank you! I am shopping for a harness booster for my “quad cab” truck; (this is the smaller back seat, longer bed option). I’m having trouble finding a seat that will fit well because the rear seat has a slightly smaller seat base, with a straighter back. And to top it off the headrest is not removable. Is there a recommended car seat for applications like this? I imaging many 3rd row vehicles may have similar seating issues, maybe worse.

    I doubt that the Libelle comes with the adapters in Europe. They are ridicoulously high in their pricing and afaik also sold separately. I ordered a Libbelle yesterday because we've already the Aton B2 + Base, so I'll give an Update after receiving the Stroller.

    I have 2 questions: #1 are you planning on doing a comparison of the doona+ and doona x and doona I? #2 if my baby is 33 inches long but only weighs 18 lb, do you suggest switching to a forward facing seat? (He's 9 months)

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids Pƙed 15 dny

      So I wouldn't advise that. In the US Car seat techs are taught to advocate for best practice and in the US we understand that to be having a baby sitting in a rear facing orientation for as long as the child tolerates it and as long as the seat can accommodate it. If you are in Europe the rules and seats might be different but I would always suggest keeping kids rear facing as long as possible and choosing a seat that can convert from backward facing to forward facing. Like the law in Califorina is that a child can't sit forward facing until age 2 so I would strongly encourage you to check your local laws and then also speak with a pediatrician in your area if possible. :)

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids Pƙed 15 dny

      So this is totally reasonable concern and it is heavy. The Doona is 17 pounds with no kid in it cause the wheels are always on it. This other brand has come out with like their solution to having something like this but more practical. here is a link. czcams.com/video/_hgZoehHGmY/video.htmlsi=SipfFq6kOfT5fYdu I am also going to be posting a video of that stroller system vs a doona which is similar to shyft dual ride. But like currently i am obsessed with this little city loop cause it's cheaper than doona or evenflo and better quality and makes more sense for what I would want if I were a new parent. If you comment on that video I can link you to the other one when I post it. :)

  • @JasonJ-16
    @JasonJ-16 Pƙed 17 dny

    I’m not sure if I’m imagining it because I have nervous energy cause my first is coming a few weeks, but I got the Evenflo Shyft and wanted to use it with the Cruz V2 (with the adapters), but I feel like the car seat tilts forward ever so slightly in a way that may not be the most comfortable. I plan on asking the discharge nurse or the pediatrician if the angle of the seat is problematic. I’ve scoured the internet and this is the only video that shows that the Shyft is compatible with other strollers at all, so, I don’t think enough people have tried it to either confirm or deny my experience.
