Motortræf 2024 - Engine Meet - Stationary engines, vinatge tractors, mopeds, trucks etc.

I got some footage from the annual Engine Meet 2024 (Motortræf 2024) hosted by one of Scandinavias biggest collections of stationary engine collection www.motorsamlingen.dk, which boasts a massive collection of 450+ engines of all sizes. This event attracts a lot og diesel heads, petrol heads, weird collectors, model engine builders and half drunk morons on vintage mopeds as well as the much sought after vintage fleamarket where you can buy al sorts of stuff. If you are an petrochemical phenotype, with a weak spot for cast iron and happen to be in Denmark the last weekend of april, this is a must participate in event. The parking lot is filled with fully restored tracks and cars.

Amazing collection of engines, some makes i've never heard of. Makes a change from Lister D s and similar in the UK. I see Yamaha Fissys are popular in Denmark as well.
Looks like you have some interesting videos to watch, so I have just subscribed.

Greetings Robert, thanks for the sub. I agree the engine collection is really special and the restorations are top notch. On that day the museum was so crowded that I could not film properly inside, so I may go and make a part 2 on a day with less visitors, to get a proper look at the engines. I worked there as a volunteer and have a major stake in the making of the Field Marshall/Fowler VF Crawler.

Thanks, you definitely should participate if possible. There is so much interesting stuff there that you can spend hour after hour in the museum.

To my knowledge it is kind of organized chaos, but I dont think you have to book and if you arrive in a truck you'll just park beside all the other trucks in the parking lot. If you bring stationary engines you should probably come the day before as there is also ususally a nice little gettogether the evening before the show. There is always use for a helping hand in the last few days up to the meet and if i recall correctly they used to have a deal with a local bed'n breakfast just a few hundred meters down the road if you contact them in advance.
