Great dialog on the social media subject. I especially appreciate Matt's comments about human beings maybe not being equipped to handle it. It can bring out the worst in people, in my opinion, and too many folks get addicted to the negativity and are fundamentally changed by it. Is all social media bad? No, but there are bad actors involved with some of those platforms with the deliberate goal of influencing people in certain ways, and it should be approached with extreme caution and awareness of that fact.
Great episode. I don't necessarily agree with the stability takes though. The Patriots had all the stability in the world. It didn't help when Brady left. The Steelers. All the stability in the world. In my opinion, they have been underachieving for over ten years. Success brings stability. Not vise versa.
It sounds to me like a football franchise is alot like a marriage. Availability and stability keep it going along with a love for the game and teammates which i guess translates to family.

You see and hear the mediots with so much negativity toward the Raiders. They do this on purpose. So you start talking about them. Example. Power rankings. Josh Allen is a star with Jacksonville who just got paid. The Raiders chose Farrell over him. That’s not bad luck. That’s horrible decision making by the Raiders. The luck part was with Jacksonville because the Raiders were so stupid!🍀

Hondo, you accurately commented that in your 5 years of covering the Raiders they have had 4 HC's and 3 GM's. This is due to the incompetence of owner Mark Davis who inherited this team and his consistently making mistake after mistake. The Raiders bright future will occur once he sells the team or has zero input into the hiring of HC's and GM's. Rarely do I hear Raiders insiders tell this truth due their fear of Mark Davis targeting them. When will the fans say they have had enough and hold Davis accountable for his terrible ownership?
This is why I'm surprised when a drafted player actually succeeds. The worst teams get first pick on the best draft picks. I mean you've got bad management and/or coaching running a team that by and large doesn't give a shit. I watched my beloved Raiders ruin like three first round quarterbacks because they didn't know how to run the franchise/team.
