He hasnt been exactly anti-Raiders, though. Baldy was the first media guy, that i knew of, that was talking about how good Crosby is.
What a great show guys, always love listening to Baldy as well. As much as I would love Daniels leading the Raiders I have been of the same mind set as Moe, beef up the O-line at 13 and then do what it takes to get Penix later in the first. I live in Oregon and have watched a few UO games, I am not a Bo Nix fan, I don't think he reads defenses very well and doesn't process quickly and therefore I see as a little bit of a check down charlie.

I believe most of the nation is now happy with the plan of RT first and then trade back up for QB cause it’s great if we get JD but if we get a starter QB with a bookend RT. We got a Tackle tandem for the next five and we can go looking for a QB later if the QB we got doesn’t workout.

Because this draft is deep at offensive and defensive linemen as well, CB and S they should look to trade back to pick up more picks in the 2nd and 3rd and later rounds! I like OT Fuaga, but if he is not their at 13, then look to trade back! Go, Raiders! WHAT TIME IS IT?! WHAT TIME IS IT?! IT'S RAIDER TIME!!! IT'S RAIDER TIME!!!
You got the plan, brother. this is another reason NOT to give away the farm to get Daniels. we have needs - short and longer term - around the roster. All draft picks are a roll of the dice. The more rolls you take, you decrease risk and increase chances of getting "hits" who can stay around for a few years.
I like how Moe talks about value and risk….most people talking draft do not talk about those two aspect.
QB are 50-50 crap shoot, trade back, stockpile picks and fill multiple needs with good players! Class deep in OT, CB and WR, I mention WR because Jets want D Adams and if they give up a bunch of picks or players then you might have a need!
Daniels or McCarthy in the first, if not then Fuaga at 13th. If they are not available, I would say then trade back as (long as they have a trade partner) for more picks and pick up Rattler in the 3rd or 4th round!!!

Pennix is the Number 5 Pick overall .
The big problem with QB 4+ in this draft is the complete unknown when it comes to overall ranking and value. I've seen Penix and Nix go R1, picks 11-13... and I've also seen them fall to R3 - Penix went at #70 in the latest Bleacher Report mock.
There's no point in getting Rattler in the later rounds when we already have Aiden. JD is going 2nd so that's not happening! Fuaga at 13 and Penix in the 20s if there then CB, LB, RB, more O line.

The Michigan games exposed Pennix’s inability to create under pressure, his lack of accuracy if can make him move his feet. Taking him at 13 would be the Robert Gallery pick all over again .
Gallery was regarded almost universally as a can’t miss prospect.

I keep hearing the same QB prospects over and over again. No one is mentioning that we could get a steal in a later round by taking Jordan Travis. This kid has gone under the radar only because he got injured towards the end of the season.
That would not be a "steal"...he's a developmental player and would have no chance to competing for a starting role in 2024.
BTW...we talked about him at length a few weeks ago in our draft preview on QBs....

Outliers that surprise at QB from the 2nd 3rd 4th 6th 7th rounds like Brady, Brees, Romo, Wilson, Purdy recently I guess, but I cant stand Purdy I think the noodle armed wonder shrimp is out of his league every game he starts and is purely a product of a great 49er roster - they are just that...RARE BLIND LUCK Outliers that do not consistently even get a 2nd contract nor steady bounce around the league backup careers.
Latham has a lot of penalties. Is that a problem? Concerning? Fuaga is a better fit for the Raiders. RT and he's a Raider the way he plays.
Why not take Penix at 13 and trade up for a lineman or corner? Tha gives you that 5th yr option.

I never suggested I would take either before round 5. Both of them are projects you will need to sit for a year. But at round 5 Travis has greater value because we are not pissing away higher round draft capital for a 5th priority for the team on a 3rd to 4th round talent.
Id go OT, round 1, OC round two for the WVU center, Either a CB or LB in round 3. Only then would I be considering Penix vs Travis and I honestly think Id rather have the 4th round pick to focus onmore D first as thats when the decline on O/D line starts becoming apparent.
Point is even though no one is going to be excited for AOC or Minshew for the season (I guess except for me) but Im NOT getting excited for a 3rd QB short of if a guy like Maye happens to fall to us at 13 and I STILL think Id rather see us build up the trenches, give AOC and Minshew duke it out for a season to see if AOC makes the jump and if he doesnt, next year would be better to focus on getting a quality draft QB.

Penix is better at avoiding sacks, but, hes not exactly the superior running qb. Aoc actually had more rushing yards for the Raiders last year than Penix had in his final year at Washington.
So, what is Penix clearly better at? The deep ball. Ok, fine, but, how often will the Raiders REALLY be throwing deep? AP is a defensive guy. Does he REALLY want to keep putting his defense back on the field, by constantly throwing bombs? I highly doubt it. So, given their presumptive offensive philosophy, are the Raiders better served by continuing to build a bully of a defense that can punch KC in the face? Or, do the Raiders want to roll the dice on a qb that probably cant outgun Mahomes in a shootout, anyway?

Let's go over the facts about Aiden O'Connell ready. This is all on film argue all you want.... Aiden O'Connell has an insanely slow read progression. Zero scrambling ability. Zero ability to read a defense inaudible at the line of scrimmage. Just look at his throwing motion it is a slow throwing motion. He cannot throw on the run at all zero ability to throw while running or moving in general. He overthrows wide-open touchdown passes to wide open wide receivers at least once a game go look at it it's on film. Emotionless the kid is emotionless if he throws a pick 6 or a touchdown he still has that same confused dumb I'm not sure where I'm at look on his face. And on top of all of those factual atrocious quarterback traits.... Aiden O'Connell is a fourth round draft pick by the worst head coach in the history of the NFL....

Baldy is on point, but most draftniks are and have been 100% wrong (especially on Penix) with their copy & paste lame takes, and are WAY TOO LATE when it comes to QB prospects and the NFL Draft...
As a big time UW Husky and Raiders fan, I have seen EVERY GAME of Penix as a Husky, I said BACK IN DECEMBER when Penix' Huskies beat that LOSER BO NIX for a 3rd straight game, and the final Pac 12 Title Game win IN RAIDERS ALLEGIANT STADIUM HELLOOOO!!! It was meant to be :)
At #13 overall (or maybe small trade up) Penix is more than worthy of the pick because QB HELLOOOO! No stupid cornerbacks or maybe the 4th best Tackle Scott & Moe!
When you have MEH traited QB's like O'Connell & Minshew (both are BACKUP QBs PERIOD) you take the winner, Uber traited QB talent with elite arm velocity/accuracy, great presnap reads ability, tons of experience, made amazing clutch throws and 2nd chance mobile plays all 2023 season: vs. Oregon 2 times, @USC beating Caleb, in the playoffs vs Ewers' Longhorns, and Penix was a WARRIOR vs. #1 Michigan D that was overpowering every Husky olineman not named Troy Fautanu, and were literally mugging every Husky WR since the National Title refs let Michigan CBs mug and DPI all game for no flags, just rewatch Penix lazer TD throw to McMillan before haltime where Penix called out the DPI on Rome Odunze mid play!(plus Huskies had no run game and were down 14-0 fast thanks to that meh Husky run D).
Plus the whole stupid Penix injury narrative and age (ahem Penix is younger than Bo Nix by 7 months) Micheal hasn't had a major injury in 3 years by the time the 2024 season starts.
