will Telesco make his 1st pick as a Raider a reach?
I don't think so
Tellesco was known for not reaching and take solid first round picks he def will go BPA
#77 S.Rattler made sumthin outta nuthin at SC imagine if he has sumthin....
Remember when they had 40 round drafts, some of the best players in history never went in the first 7 rounds
Moe Moton knows something he can’t say right now
What's ur guys opinions on Jordan Travis? I think he's being overlooked, he outplayed Daniel's head 2 head last yr
I would love him in the 4th actually...
I like to go RT first round. Also the reports are Aidan has gained a ton of muscle and is in much better shape this off season. Why do people think he will get no better year 2? Especially with his work ethic.
Bone injuries tend to not linger like soft tissue injuries
Can't solve all their needs in the draft, so I think they should focus on potential long-term answers/immediate impact players that don't have stop-gap starters once Jimmy's $ comes off the books. That could include a Lattimore trade or drafting an interior lineman and signing competition for Mumford at RT.
Many besides Baldy including Dan Parr & Daniel Jeremiah have us taking Penix #13 .. all I can say is if we don't end up with a TOP 6 QB .. we have FAILED! ... What if Seattle at #16 reunites Penix with his Husky Offensive Coordinator?? .. and don't think there isn't a chance the Rams don't take Penix #19 ... or if Denver trades down & takes Penix instead of Bo Nix.
GM Walt's Mock ... #13 Penix .. #44 (2nd) Tackle Kingsley Suamataia .. #77 (3rd) CB Kris Abrams-Draine ... #112 (4th) CB Elijah Jones ... #148 (5th) WR Jamari Thrash
Also, no insult intended, but because there are so many Polynesian players in drafts, I recommend Brugler's Draft Beast that includes pronunciation guides for all players (e.g., Fu-anga, Fa-u tanu, etc.). 🤙🏼
Micheal Penix Jr dobble ganger 😂
The Commanders brought in 4 QB at same time Daniels, Maye, Penix Jr. JJ McCarthy so whoever is the second pick in draft. Patriots will hold the 3rd pick that spot which they said its up for sale. Raiders Telesco has Mark Davis blessing to trade up. If Raiders wait to n#13 pick the only QB will be Bo Nix. Raiders need to move up in the draft we could get better than Bo Nix. If we wait after first Rd we probably took Rattler, Jordan Travis, or Milton. AP needs Telesco to move up. AP wants Daniels is our best move. Our next best move is drafting Penix Jr.
Pratt also an option
I have a Sneaky Feeling the Broncos will draft Penix.. Unless we can somehow move up..
BIG facts !
I agree that we shouldn't consider Travis this year because of injury, but there's no reason not to take a flyer on another late round QB. Taking a QB in R4 last year shouldn't stop us making a similar selection this year - the round a QB is drafted in has very little bearing on how good he is going to be - you just never know when you'll strike gold. Imagine if the 49ers didn't take Purdy just because they already had a QB from a previous draft on their roster!
I'd consider Pratt in the middle rounds and Milton and Bradley toward the end of the draft... I'd even say it would be foolish if we didn't - we should keep picking QBs, maybe even two of them, every year until we find a gem.
It's Fuaga but I would trade Back but Telesco said we are going get 8 players huh plus UDFA'S RN4L 🔥☠️🏈🤬🔥
Nixx can throw the long ball yes it's short passing but take it away it's the long ball pick the venom RN4L 🔥☠️🏈🤬🔥
Don't Dak us
WR makes since Davante is making 30 million next year, so there's a good chance he may not be here if they can't rework his contract
they will rework it. And he actually makes 44 million no way you are paying a WR that.
Trading that much to give up is like eat 💩 oh with sugar it's good, Hell no RN4L 🔥☠️🏈🤬🔥
The whole "trade back up into the end of R1 for a QB" plan seems to make a lot of sense... so why don't teams do it very often? It seems they're far more likely to wait, and then trade up into the first few picks in R2... why??
Imo, trade value. If a team has 22-25 first-round graded candidates, they'd likely request more draft capital than the other team wants to give up to move into that range. Plus, other than trading up for a Qb, the extra year of contractual control isn't as important for teams trading up. And the QB tax further demands additional compensation.
I think the commanders, the patriots, the cardinals would all trade if you're willing to do something moronically stupid. It's like that movie draft day, "whose desperate enough to do something stupid?" AP can want what he wants but this is why the gm has to be the boss. We've had 3 GMs who were afraid to say no to a coach. This one will say , AP it's too much, the cost is too high. Pick a tackle or better yet trade back to a little later in the first round and get an extra second and then pick a tackle and a guard and then maybe with the other Second pick, take the best linebacker in the draft. Then in the third round go get Spencer Rattler. That's my ideal draft. By the way, coming out of high school Spencer rattler was the number one player in the nation and recruited ahead of Caleb Williams. Caleb took his job at Oklahoma so Spencer left for South Carolina where he did very well and Caleb went to SC where he threw 3 picks against Notre Dame. just saying. It's all a crap shoot guys.
There is 0 chance I would give 3 1st round draft picks for any quarterback in this draft, not even Caleb Williams. There's no Payton Manning there's no Andrew luck there is no John Elway there's no d*an marino , Patrick mahomes or Lamar Jackson in this draft. Jaden Daniels is way more likely to be Malik Willis Then he is Lamar Jackson. The Lamar Jackson, Patrick mahomes, Payton mannings of the world are outliars, they're not the norm. He's literally way more likely he's a flop than he's an all pro. So there's no way you can gamble 3 1st round picks on that.
You can't say that next year's QB class is a notch down from this year - none of us have any idea what next year's class will be like. It's almost certain that at least one or two of those QBs will make huge leaps from where they are now - Jaden Daniels could barely throw a ball at this time last year, and now he's a top 3 pick!
Yes we can. 🤘🏽
Could barely throw a ball? Re-check that and get back to us, cuz he's been throwing since his days at ASU.
Nix is a system fit.
It would be nice to get a starting outside corner.
It would be nice to get a QB.
It is essential that we get a starting RT.
I just don't see how we can take a CB in the 1st and still leave ourselves flexibility to take a QB... because if we go CB, then trade up for a QB at the back of R1, or the start of R2, then we have no RT on the roster and no way to get one.
Whether we trade up, trade down, or stay at #13, take a QB, or roll with the ones we have... for me, the only thing that HAS to happen is that we get a starting RT in the top 50 picks.
Offense should be the major investment. Looking at the team last season the differences between the two units is ridiculous. OL (at least 2 picks), QB, WR (deep threat). CB also a need which I'm OK using a day 2 pick on. But the first two picks need to be OL/QB. If no QB is available then OL/CB and then an offensive guard in the 3rd.
Its not THAT essential to get a RT if they have a right handed qb. The move would be to target a higher end guard in the 3rd(maybe Risner) and go with Munford, who DID play at a passable level last year at RT and could very well take another step forward.
Now, if they do plan on targeting Penix, then, it is absolutely essential to take a high end RT, before taking Penix, IMO. Not only because of Penix injury risks, and, being his blindside, but also, because Penix is really really not that good throwing the ball under pressure. In fact, the numbers bare out that hes substantially the worst of the top 6 qb's passing the ball under pressure. If you ARE going to try and put him in a position to succeed, things need to be perfect for him.
Call me crazy but I’d explore a Tua trade sending 13 and Aidan and 2025 2nd rounder
Tua would feel at home with LV expat community and Getsy can work with his strengths I think
AOC would thrive under McDaniel’s hybrid Shanny O
I don’t think McDaniel is sold on Tua
Sorry Mike in Cali... paying for a QB in next year's FA is the most awful choice we could possibly make. Dak freaking Prescott?!? Half the fanbase spent most of the last decade moaning that Derek Carr wasn't good enough (he actually was good enough from 2016-2021, it was the rest of the team wasn't) and that he was being paid too much (which he was). Now some people are calling for Prescott - a Derek Carr level QB, who can't win a playoff game with a stacked roster, and who will cost EVEN MORE MONEY than Carr did!! Surely the Russell Wilson trade has to make people realise that if a "top 10" QB is available, that means he's not really a top 10 QB!
There are only two sensible routes to a QB... you draft one, or you identify a cheap journeyman that will improve in your system (like Plunkett or Gannon, or more recently Geno Smith or Baker Mayfield). Minshew is a great example of the type of thing to try, although I'm not hopeful he'll make any sort of step up as he just doesn't have the arm strength to stretch a defense.
BO NIX IS OUR GUY...BEEN SAYING IT FOR 2 YEARS AND WE BETTER PICK HIM...
😂😂😂😂
Bro I am a witness. You have been saying it for 2 years lol i got to give u props for sticking to ur guns 🙏
@SteveOrellana he is very consistent with his stupidity I'll give him that, 100% of the time
You know Moe I don't know Moe
Wonder what Moe knows about Bo
All this because Aiden couldn’t figure it out as a rookie? Ya. He sucked really BAD at times, but not ‘three first rd picks and #44 this year’ bad.
I hear it said that Nix is not a cultural fit for the Raiders. Do they mean personality or playing style?
Who says this? That's the important question. Nobody important is my guess.
IDK, the only thing I can think of is that he was talking about how he left Auburn for OR because of the pressure and criticism on him, and how serious they are about football in the south. Considering how toxic Raider Nation can be with its QBs, that could be an issue for him if he doesnt ball out right out of the gate. Maybe not though, he might have just worded that wrong.
Some people think that Bo and AP wouldnt mesh. I prefer Nix, but, i have my own questions in this regard.
Menshew's numbers better than Lawrence
The draft is a crap shoot
SALUTE 🫡 NATION TIME IS TICKING AND I KEEP CHANGING MY VIEWS. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT'S OVER, I JUST HOPE THEY GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME. RN4L 👍🏿
big facts!
Agreed 💯. Good to know I'm not the only one. I have been all over the place with who I want us to draft. I am hoping and trusting in the Process that we get this right. Just don't want to be reaching.
I been saying Raiders to get Penix since December when he beat Loser Bo Nix IN RAIDERS STADIUM, long before he flashed is elite traits vs Texas and was a warrior vs Michigans #1 D in the college postseason.
I said that every moron draftnik would ride the jock of Jayden the Heisman winner first, Drake Mayes bad turnovers late in games would drop his stock, then the main stream pundits would pump the hell out of the 2 overrated good looking white boy QBs in Loser Bo Nix and WAYYYY OVERRATED Zach Wilson 2.0 clone JJ McCarthy.
Then these same pundits will totally throw shade on Micheal Penix Jr., where even Daniel Jerimiah didnt even have him being a 1st round QB until recent weeks late March/early April.
My fave Draftniks at PFF NFL Stock Exchange Connor Rogers have been very high on Micheal Penix Jr this entire 2023 college and 2024 pro draft seasons...
czcams.com/users/shortsQR8Wz6MMyA8?si=pn8J4Ca5-xNc1vCW
And that is EXACTLY what happened. Just like Kiper and McShay drooled and pumped up crappy Mayo Boy Will Levis all last year (both 2022 college season and 2023 draft nfl season) and low and behold, Anthony Richardson, my #2 QB after CJ Stroud, was the ACTUAL QB NFL Teams coveted, he sky rocketed up boards and past idiot draft pundits/fans lame takes on AR. Colts took him #4 overall and Mayo Boy didnt even get PICKED in the 1st round.
Fugh Right Tackles and CB's, when your QB room is built of meh-traited backups like Aidan & Minshew YOU GET THE QB.
Penix fits perfectly what Tom & Antonio "said" they want in a QB and offense, the Al Davis, strong armed, take what the Raiders want long ball Raiders Identity. That is Big Penix Energy 100%!
