There is a fantastic magnifying feature on Steamdeck…
I loved Dungeon of the Endless! Got a Steam Deck OLED on the way, will grab Endless Dungeon then! Thanks for the review
me too! its a fun sequel, though it plays pretty different to the first. i also picked up an OLED SD, cant wait for it to get here
Delightful game. Definitely needs some more content drops to increase the variety within runs, but a fun coop game.
yeah, ui scaling is really needed in handheld world, try dragons dogma dark arisen, they got it right
for real dragons dogma is my go to steam deck experience.
Steam deck OLED has a bigger screen! So will help with the smaller text!
Not that much. The 7.4" of the OLED Deck means its ppi drops from 215.6 to 204.
If a text was too small on the LCD screen to read, assuming a letter was 2 pixels wide, letter was 0.0092 inches(or ~0,234mm) wide on the LCD and will be 0.0098 inches(or ~0,249mm) wide on the OLED screen.
I'd say if you had trouble reading it on the LDC Deck, the extra 0.015mm(+6,4%) won't help you. From the looks of it in this game, the text needs to be at least 33% larger.
I had my own comparison with the Legion Go. In the game TemTem the texts are also very small and although you have an option for a UI scaling, you can only choose 1080p or 4K....
It was very hard to read on the SteamDeck andwhen I tried it on the Legion go set to 800p, so 8.8" vs 7", it was still hard to read. A bit easier, but still hard.
yeah i think it will help! but an even bigger screen would of course be better (or higher res, but then you deal with performance issues)
@@sam.alexander.reviews higher res would give you smaller text again^^
With all the new handhelds, more games need to implement broader UI scale settings
