What's messed up is that Cartoon Network never aired some of these episodes, they skipped them so I was lost in context. I never knew how Finn's dad got out or about Finn's arm. Nor about where Sweet Pea came from.
They definitely aired them. I remember seeing these as a kid

fun fact that drives me mad as a massive fan of this show:
in some countries they just never aired these first season 6 episodes because of finn's arm. they straight up never aired any episode of season 6 where finn is missing his arm, no matter how important the episodes were.
they censored "for the kids" the main character being an amputee and thats incredibly fucked up 💀
so do they just put down irl amputees so kids dont have to see them??

Well if this make you feel better. I only could watch adventure time per cable on tv, but the channel that air it needed to be paid so I couldn't watch season 5 post simon and marcy. Also the first episodes of season 6 get banned from Spain so I never watch them on tv
The lich’s speech is one of my all time favorite moments in all of cartoons. Adventure time goated.

Not really, The Lich is supposed to be the embodiment of not death or evil but "the END". Just like he said to Finn, he's strong but he's beyond strength he will go to every lenght to see everything END
