- A rapper from the Kentwood area was staying in Bogalusa after receiving death threats was shot and killed when he opened the door to an apartment earlier this week.
A rivalry between two rap groups leads to the murder of a man who was hiding out in Bogalusa. After days on the run, two men accused of the crime are now arrested and police are thankful this shooting didn’t leave more people dead.
Balloons, candles and bullet holes in the door of apartment six at the Union Pointe housing complex in Bogalusa, are reminders of what happened early Monday morning.
Smh these young black males just throwing away their lives. They seem not to think of consequences.

Damn!! Instead of violence the young man went to Bogalusa & those 2 THUGS cowardly shoot through the door & make a 7 year old a witness to the next generation of murder!! This one really got to me because I’m seeing young men TRYING to avoid the violence but the thugs come & get them.
We need to help these kids. Our lives aren’t so precious that we can’t help these kids stay alive. As for the 2 thugs. I hate to say this but that community needs to allowed to form a “posse”for men like that & go round them up & let the men in the community decide what to do with these violent killers in our midst. Not all deserve to sit in a cell for life. Some have forfeited their lives by killing our very best young men who fled town to get away from the violence. This one gets to me & I’m an old Trump voter so that should tell ppl that we all want all of our kids to do well, to be happy & successful & to prosper free from violence & knowing that if thugs are messing with them that they can police & the men’s committee in their neighborhood without fear of anyone disrespecting their call for help. It has to stop. NO young man should ever feel like he just has to wait for his killers, pick up a gun himself or join a gang for protection because it begets more violence.
