- One of the ocean’s scariest predators had to be rescued. Marine Unit deputies from Florida’s Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office say they were contacted by a concerned citizen about a shark being caught in a crab trap. There was a hook in the shark’s mouth, but the officers “determined they could not safely remove the hook.” The net was cut as low as possible, allowing the approximately 6-foot shark to swim free.
The Shark looks cute I hope he’s ok Respect to the people who helped.
Respect to the people who helped
Exactly, that was an excellent shark rescue. Glad to see the shark happy and to escape that trap. What a kind heart for the marine too ❤️
Hmm I'm super glad they helped but I'm still concerned about the hook. I hope that it doesn't get infected.
Sharks, and other fish, get hooks caught in them all the time it will work it's way out eventually. Plus it's pretty rare for fish to get infections, especially in the ocean do to all the salt.
@@deathnom9083 thanks for the info. I didn't know.
Better than nothing. Homie has a new piercing now
I’m actually disappointed at people (some of them) people leaving trash in the ocean, like it’s some trash can. These poor sea animals have to live with it also..
we eat them aint that just as bad
@@runawaycloak1752 not really, it’s part of life and the food chain. Trash in the ocean can lead to marine life (like fish, octopus and sharks) eating that stuff, then that leads to us eating sea creatures that have eaten trash, LEADING to us getting sick
I agree, although we eat some sea creatures I can agree we can keep the seas clean for the sea animals to keep living in a clean environment and for us humans and other Predators to be able to eat healthy toxic free seafood
Go look at third world countries
The water is their garbage disposal
@@runawaycloak1752 No, throwing trash especially plastic releases micro plastics that damages our health when we eat them. It’s damaging on both sides. Eating animals isn’t wrong when we humanely dispatch them.
It's sad how much fishing nets, fishing wires etc is in our waters.
Bruh they saved it also, they were the ones doing it
@@KennyMcCormick5467 yeah your right, I don't litter, or fish.
@@KennyMcCormick5467 You have a good point. This guy is complaining about other people while he is on his phone somewhere producing just as much waste.
@@louie2747 your so right!
So glad they helped!

Hopefully the shark is fine!
Yes, so it can rip your legs off one day.

@@KennyMcCormick5467 so did your father but you wouldn't know....
Even though I'm afraid of sharks I'm glad it got freed from the fishing hook. Respect to those people who freed the shark
The shark will be grateful for humans the rest of his life. Hope that he won't come back and bite.
@DONT WATCH MY VIDEO lol it ok we don’t care
@DONT WATCH MY VIDEO *reads your name*
I'm glad they called cops
At least it’s safe
The Officers: **Mission Complete** Reward= Praise
The hook will rust away and break out eventually.
Before the whole jaw if the shark becomes infected? The salt water may not be able to get deep where the hook is for sterilization.
Wouldn't that take awhile though?
@@-TheMaskedMan- It has an immune system, it will be fine lmfao. This happens all the time. How do you think most hooks exit the mouth of a fish..
No it doesn't
@@RuzzyID Most don’t, especially if the hook is swallowed.
Thank you for rescuing the shark.
Person that was killed 2 hours later doesn't think so
Now the shark is gonna wonder about its tooth pain and visit a shark dentist
This is like helping out a serial killer 🤦🏻♂️
I’m pretty sure sharks rarely kill
I bet he was crabby after running into that net.
@DONT WATCH MY VIDEO I wont.
I can just imagine the shark returning home. "Where have you been Sharketta?" "We were looking all over for you."
"I was off getting this cool piercing!" "Jellyfish much?"
Next up, man saves venomous snake from being stuck in bush, protects it in infant daughters room.
I am afraid the hook in the shark's mouth will harm it later.
Braver than me. But I am a firm believer that sharks need our protection ☺️🦈❤️
Shark got a piercing

2 hours later a teen was killed surfing
❤️❤️❤️
what kind of shark is that?
Did he say 6 foot?! 😂
What’s so funny about that
This isn’t the only animal dying as a result of human waste. We need to work together to stop wildlife from dying a inescapable death
Everyone needs help sometimes, even the strong

I'm waiting for y'all to make a video about a person who died for 3 days and came back to life
sad reality is he‘ll probably die. Even if he swims away, most catch/release sharks die shortly after under water and nobody ever sees it.
Why is that?

Mm..
On the CZcams channel "Ocean Conservation Namibia" who rescue seals entangled in all sorts of things every day know how to remove a barbed hook, and it's easy. Snip off the barb, then pull the smooth part through. That's plain common sense which these people don't have.
I think they were more worried about keeping all of their fingers
If you have ever done a bit of saltwater fishing in you life than you would know not to do that with a shark or any teethy fish. To get the hook out of the shark mouth your going to need to get you hand right in its mouth. Sharks have a tendency of chomping down on things near their mouth. Better to let the hook rust away and break apart than to lose a hand.
