BEER BREAD 3 cups self-rising flour 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar 1 (12 oz) beer, room temperature ¼ cup milk 2 Tbsp. melted butter Preheat oven to 375. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Combine all ingredients except for the butter in a medium bowl. Mix the ingredients only until most lumps are mixed in, being careful not to mix any longer than necessary to keep the bread from becoming tough. Pour the bread dough into the loaf pan and place into the oven. Bake the bread for 60 minutes. After 30 minutes into the baking time brush the melted butter over the top of the loaf. Let the bread rest for about 10 minutes in the loaf pan and then remove to a rack to cool. NOTE: Can substitute 3 cups all-purpose flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, and 1 ½ tsp. salt for the self-rising flour.
