It must have been film used for movies and stuff. A lot of old Beatles music videos have been remastered to look almost like this since they were using 35mm film if I'm remembering correctly.

Wow..what an awesome drummer!
radar200 yeah he's pretty good...
Keith's adorable. He was like a little kid playing with his older brothers.
He was like a child but very loving man, he had moments of clarity lol
They WERE very much like brothers in a dysfunctional family. They loved each other . And stayed together for the sake of the music. 🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️
Keith's had a good line and riding the emotion and music
@Joe Kinchicken fuck off
He was such an amazing natural on the drums. Throw in pure thunder from Entwistle and the power cords and riffs from Townshend it was musical magic...top it off with one of the most powerful set of pipes from Daltrey...wow just wow.
Keith Moon, the world's biggest clown and best drummer in one.
It is so obvious he not only loved being a drummer, but a drummer for this band, and he truly loved his band mates.
Such a tragic loss.
This is probably my favorite Who video!😊
Yes, so very tragic, my favorite too
Unfortunately he loved drugs more :(
I was 6 when I saw Top of the Pops and Keith bashing the hell out of his drum kit on "I Can See For Miles" No other drummer was like that-they just gently tapped the skins and cymbals a bit-but Keith Moon?!!? I'd bash the hell out of anything I could improvise as a drum kit-drove the parents mad !! And in later years I realised how extraordinary and ground breakingly excellent Keith Moon's drumming was on that track to name but one and how there is no comparison to it anywhere

I wonder if they were originally four regular great rockers, and then an evil wizard came and put a curse on John and Keith so that all of Johns energy and enthusiasm ended up in Keith. That's the only explanation I can come up with.
Or perhaps Keith simply liked uppers while John liked downers?

It's only now -- and I've seen this video for years and even "The Kids are Alright" in the theater -- that I'm realizing that they filmed a performance specifically for this video. This wasn't them mimicking the words to the song, they performed this. So we got to see an actual performance of a Who song as if we're in the studio that day. Love this video, Keith Moon is a treasure. A crime not to show Entwhistle rocking his solo. How effortless Townsend makes his guitar rips look. Definitely one of the GOATS.
Moon’s drumming on this is unbelievable. People said he’d lost it a bit by then. This proved otherwise.
From what I’ve seen of other stuff around this time, he had lost it a bit. This particular performance is an exception, as it was probably a bit easier to manage him in a studio setting, but he definitely wasn’t the powerhouse he was in the late 60’s-early 70’s. To me he is the best and most unique drummer ever to pick up sticks, but the drugs and perhaps everyone telling him how great he was had started to diminish him as a player by this point.
He was in poor health and drumming, especially the way he drummed was very physical.

Except they didnt get along at all. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend were fighting alot and the only real friendship there was between John Entwistle and Keith Moon
They were kinda like a real life Monkees...
@@thegreenbird795 real life monkees?
You implying they aint real?
And those guys were all heterosexual 😏 I KNOW 😉
Entwistle is one of the coolest m’ther f’ers that ever put down tracks.
I know just thought that myself the others look like at a concert Brians just relaxed like chill out guys.
I love it! I know I’m probably repeating a few of the others but, this is amazing! So glad it was put together expertly. The band and their sound cannot be duplicated. Such a joy watching the snippets of each of them having fun, all while creating rock and roll magic! I too have watched it over and over. My wife said that song again? So I sat her down, told her the true story of how this autobiographical song came about, played the video, and now she’s a fan.
