TheWho
United Kingdom
Registrace 11. 04. 2016
There are four names always on or near the top of the list of all time great Rock ‘n’ Roll bands: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Who.
The Who were formed by sheet-metal worker Roger Daltrey in 1963. The line up, after a couple of adjustments, established itself with Daltrey on lead vocals, Keith Moon on drums, John Entwistle on bass guitar and Pete Townshend on lead guitar. Townshend, honouring his art student credentials, writes music famous for having an ‘edge’, complemented by the wildly creative performance techniques of each member of the band.

Now it's back and looking better than aver and will be touring the festivals and Who shows during the summer of 2023, raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust. This is the Ace Face's scooter. Co...

In June 1966, The Who's co-manager Chris Stamp filmed the group up on the roof and in Pete Townshend's flat on the top floor of 87 Wardour Street in Soho, London. The interview lasted for approximately 20 minutes and this five-minute segment was intended for broadcast later in the year in the US on ABC TV's 'Where The Action Is' but it was never ever shown. The live clips towards the end includ...

Ils sont tout chamboulé, une merveille
Had the bootleg like 30 years ago named shaking all over fantastic show
Lyrics I know you've deceived me Now here's a surprise I know that you have 'cause there's magic in my eyes I can see for miles and miles And miles and miles and miles Oh yeah. If you think that I don't know About the little tricks you play And never see you when Deliberately you put things in my way Well, here's a poke at you You're gonna choke on it too You're gonna lose that smile Because all the while.... I could see for miles and miles(x2) I can see for miles and miles and miles....oh yea You took advantage of my trust in you When I was so far away I saw you holding lots of orher guys And now you've got the nerve to say that you still want me Well, that's as may be But you gotta stand trial Because all the while.... I could see for miles..etc.. I know you've deceived me Now here's a surprise I know that you have Cause there's magic in my eyes I can see for miles and miles And miles and miles and miles Oh yeah. The Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal Are mine to see on clear days You thought that I would need A crystal ball To see right through the haze Well, here's a poke at you You're gonna choke on it too You're gonna lose that smile because all the while... I could see for miles and miles (2) I can see for miles and miles And miles and miles........
Love Pete, fantastic musician

The greatest band of them all ! The who
Finally got to see the who around 1980 in The Woodlands, Tx. Snuck in with 3 joints despite police in horses, pat downs and dogs. Great concert despite Keith being gone. Unforgettable
Who is the old guy they keep flashing on? It's a portrait above and behind Keith Moon.

I loved The Who because of my summer school teacher ( yeah I’m that old there was summer school ) Mr. Paul … and in my class was my buddy I met Razbinder Singh … ALL SUMMER !! our class listened to The Who and broke down each and every song for English credit … I heard about this story and looked it up as much as I could in the middle 80s … to Roger … I loved you as a singer already but watching this video you going back to Cincinnati you just cemented my admiration for you more … your 10 times the MAN Jack Russel is … to all the Cincy families who lost a member … ❤️🩹🙏🤙❤️🖤💫💐💯🦋
The director was a c##nt
I totally blame the venue. People thought the soundcheck was the show starting and pushed thru. I saw them here in cleveland a few days after. They played the show and were great, but it was still a sad night.
Its Leon not Pete
To me one of my all life favourite songs.
Regarding the COVID tyranny and lies, we can only say, "Won't Get Fooled Again."
Pearl Jam, ever the lovers of The Who, had a similar tragic experience at a festival in Denmark in 2000. The band was traumatized and guilt-ridden afterwards. Pete and Roger reached out to PJ and helped the band immensely to process what happened and keep going as there are reports members contemplated retirement. It’s not the bands’ fault that people died at their shows, but that doesn’t eliminate the guilt and sadness as Roger said in this video. Eddie Vedder keeps an eye on the crowd during PJ shows now and has stopped the music mid-song several times since the Roskilde tragedy when he sees trouble in the audience.
If it weren't for the feeble backing vocals this song would even outshine 'My Generation' as an iconic rock song... imo.
Charles De Gaulle, the fifth who.
So good to see Pete and Roger giving all they can to perform these legendary songs
Such an amazing hit
Pete "turtle face" Townsend great guitar player.
Almost 45. Always loved Petes work including all his solo stuff. Please tour Germany again! If you ask me The Deep End with Simon Phillips would be awesome to see on stage!
This song and The Byrds 'Eight Miles High' take me to another higher plateau. Thanks guys!
Saw Pete live in the white jumpsuit days. Glad he is still with us and will always love his music.
Keit mon is best
In 1991, my oldest son was a trombone player in the Jones County Jr.College Maroon Typhon Marching Band. Their field show that year included this song and "Vehicle" among other '60s hits. But "...Miles" was the finale and never failed to bring down the house. At the end, the dance line in their glittery gold outfits did a Rocketts style routine with arms linked and high kicks I can still see in my mind's eye today.
Whether you agree or not they are a top 5 rock band all time.
Super pianiste ( Guy platteau Marseille France)
Bel hommage en superbe vidéo j'ai été les voir a Fréjus France en 1979 on a fallit ce faire écraser contre ces putains de barrières et en plus des CRS partout dans la ville et autour des arènes HOUF ! ( Guy platteau Marseille France)
The WHO's best song. Thunderous kick ass stuff.
Клево!!
Pete was always an advocate of Amnesty International
watched them at The Scene when they were High Numbers. My Mum went to bingo with Rogers Mum in Acton with Lil. He name was Irene but known as Lil
always enjoyed the work of Pete, and happy to see he's now perusing his dream of lumberjacking
I'm sure the band has carried this tragedy with them for years. I am always respectful of the fact that people lost there lives in the spot where I'm standing whenever I go to a Red's game or event outside Heritage Bank Arena.
God bless the who Kieth moon is the god of rock drummer's special boy he is British School systems Said he was a looser boy he metal I'll boy they where wrong 0:30
My parents bought me this double vinyl album back when it was released in the the 70's and I was 16 years old. A great album and when I played it on my then record deck there was more than one occassion when from the bottom of the stairs they shouted 'turn it down' ha ha A couple of weeks back it was record store day and this double album was released again (4500 copies and coloured vinyl with each vinyl a different colour). So I got myself one of these. Excellent album and I remember this advert from all those years ago. It's what got me into listening to the Who and I saw them live some years later.
This song is dedicated to sheerin, swift, Beyonce, madonna, rap crap, boring country , dance music and all the other non original wannabes
Some may complain about all the jump cuts, but I think it fits the trippiness of the song.
How difficult it must have been when Roger first arrived
Love this!! My husband, a local musician here in Syracuse, NY, USA is a Pete look-a-like. If you could see pictures of my husband from the early 80's next to Pete in the 70's - twins! I had to buy my husband a shirt stating "I'm Not Him" when he plays gigs! Big fan of Pete's and, of course, The Who!
CNE Oct 9/82 Was Great
Good music, shame Peter Townsend is a nonce! Hopefully he will get what he deserves
What a scene. Pete Townshend does a private concert for 7 people in a park. Lucky 7!
Well, this was lovely, wasn’t it? Loved the song, by the way. And I just hit “Subscribe”! I don’t think we’ll be singing “Happy Days Are Here Again” anytime soon, though. But cheers!
Since Steve Austin The Six Million Dollars Man till today me two degree squint-eyed glasses seeing for miles eternally, Who am I, nothing but Jurupato! Today i was admitted at I Love Keith Moon Facebook Group, Every day more alive Keith drummer visionary to the Kids! Alvarenga Kids we love you!
