Funnily enough, after Drew published this video, Turkey has recently and finally approved Finland's membership into the alliance, so yeah, it's official: Finland will become part of NATO.
The only one left now is Sweden, though it will take a little longer for Hungary and Turkey to accept them as well.
Edit: *Breaking News:* Finland has officially joined NATO, making it the alliance's 31st member and expanding its direct border with Russia to more than double the previous size.

I've heard 2 versions of pronouncing "varangian" in english - some read g as it's usually read as (slav version is the combo letter "dž"(d +zh), and some as gh(which is normal g in slavics). Which one is correct, may the linguists clear that bit up.

They were admitted separately because that was what they wanted, and I doubt they would want to unify. That's actually what the comic on them was talking about, their serious but irrelevant rivalry.
