ANNAPURTI - Grain ATM: Nourishing India's Future. A Ground Report, Shillong, Meghalaya

This video showcases the first Automated Grain Dispensing Solution in Northeast India, located in Shillong, Meghalaya. With biometric authentication, this made-in-India innovation dispenses multiple commodities with a speed of 25-30 kilos in 30 seconds. Under the One Nation One Ration Card Scheme, Annapurti gives 24x7 access to NFSA beneficiaries, including migrants, considerably reducing waiting time. The Government of India subsidises grains to over 800 million people monthly to ensure last-mile access to food grains. WFP India has designed and deployed Annapurti solutions at 26 fair-price shops across the states.
