The expression on Ariane’s face when you pulled up said it all!!! It was priceless! 💙 Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with us. Looks like the pups were missing each other too!

It’s been a fun reunion for all of us. We went snowshoeing yesterday in YNP. The amount of snow up here is still up to your hip in some places. It’s also amazing to me how many people are living full time in a trailer here during Winter.

I love the winter which is why I'm in Wisconsin. That mobile home looked cozy with the fire going.

Great "home" coming & I had to chuckle at "In October winter starts all over again". For myself it's great to be back home in Wisconsin & able to have good internet service so I can get caught up with your awesome videos! Thank you for sharing such an emotional moment in your lives.

Boy I've been looking for this video for a while. Since the 1970s I've been wondering if people have done this in Cooke City?

I might be interested in giving it a try for a year, but it would be a challenge. That cold would be a real challenge. Given the little insulation and “mushy” floor in the mobile home, is the wood stove enough? What have the average temps inside the mobile home been this winter, Ariane? Super glad all is well and that you’re finally able to be together again.

The Wood Stove rocks. 500 gallon propane tank and working furnace. So on average temps inside are like any other home. Pipes freeze in a house, pipes freeze here also. The mobile home is 40 years old so I don’t expect a lot. But overall it’s been fine. Ave temp inside is 70-75. - Ariane

@@ThisNomadicIdea Wow! That’s impressive. I’ve kept my home at 62 to save on fuel costs, so you’re really living large! :-) I’m really kinda jealous of anyone who has a wood stove. Love a “real” fire.

@ At about 1 dollar a mile, how far will you drive now?

Hardly nothing. We will be here until October. Free housing and walk to work.
