- Easytronic is the Opel tradename for a type of transaxle-based semi-automatic transmission or gearbox, as used in some Opel/Vauxhall cars.
Easytronic is not a tiptronic gearbox design; it does not have a torque converter. It is fundamentally a conventional manual transmission, with a single-plate dry clutch. The transmission is controlled by an electronic control unit (ECU).
The Easytronic is generally used in smaller modern front-wheel drive cars, including the Corsa 1.0 & 1.2 & 1.3D, Tigra 1.4 90 ps, Meriva 1.6 & 1.8, Astra 1.4 & 1.6, Zafira 1.8 140 ps and Vectra/Signum 1.8 140 ps.

The fuck ever happened to PRND? Huh?! Fuck these kind of gearboxes, i remember Sprinter had that to, it didn't even crawl.. Any automatic should crawl if u don't have the brake pressed.

This gearbox is a sh.... The system is very expensive in costs before mantenaince if necessary... Terrible... In Brazil this system called EASYTRANCO... :(

This box is so terrible! It's the worst transmission I have ever had the trouble of dealing with! It's slow, clunky and so dimwitted that even it doesn't know what gear it wants! It's like I have a blonde 18 year old girl in the gearbox doing the gear changes for me.
It's a gearbox made for a person who is completely uninterested in cars! Paired with a small engine and a boring car. Perfect for the sort of person who sees the car only as a way to get from point A to point B! The sort of person who doesn't even know how to check the car fluids... The sort of person who says "Uuuughhh" when you mention sporty driving, car mods, or the word "turbo".
The Corsa C, with a tiny engine and this gearbox is the antichrist for petrolheads!

The Corsa B was never fitted with the Easytronic transmission, but I suppose you can't expect a person that is uninterested in cars to know that.
