Solo Flight -Quiet Mission with my Dog- Landing in the Rain, Grass, Precautionary, Snacks

Come fly with me and Milo! today, we take the Stinson 108 up for a quick flight down to a nearby grass strip to see how the conditions are. the flight is very bumpy and uncomfortable, and while some grass strips are dry enough to land on, not all of them have great drainage. our flight from YCC to PR2 is uneventful, but landing does not seem like an option. we do a missed approach and head back home.
at home the rain is in multiple pockets over the area. we pass through a rain shower on downwind and short final. visibility is not compromised, but there is a bit of performance lost on long final. we are number 3 out of 4 in the circuit, and we are forced to extend our downwind leg. it's a bit disappointing because I wanted to do a p180.
after fueling up, we head back to the hangar. I hope to have my seat belt harnesses installed soon ✈️🌌

Looked like fun dodging the downpours Eden, I agree with you 100% on the caution at grass strips this early in the year, plus you’ll get all muddy!

Yeah cleaning the mud is just too much! The showers helped a little with the bugs though 😂
