  • Hello! Today Angèle, Milo and I are flying the Stinson to St Jovite, a grass strip just a skip away from the popular ski hill Mont Tremblant.
While in the winter it's only accessible by skis, St Jovite is a quiet, well maintained grass strip in the summer. There is a small landing fee and prior permission is required, but if you would like to check out the tourist spots of Mont Tremblant than this is the place to go!
We flew to St Jovite on a very bumpy, windy day. While the crosswind was light the gusts on final were significant, but the views were gorgeous coming in to land in between hills and mountainous terrain. There aren't many places where you can fly through mountains in eastern Ontario 🏔✈️

Firm is better than a bounce. It's been decades since I was at that ski resort. It was a frigid January! If you are interested I know a great way to capture independent audio with a digital recorder. Oddly it's the most reliable piece in my kit.

Luckily the stinson rarely bounces!!! Amazing plane, I would love to know about the audio, are you using a external jack?
