Sticker tip: have handy a spray bottle with soapy water. Spray sticky side of sticker and then slip or slide your sticker to meet your needs on your bike. Squeeze out any access soapy water, wipe with towel and let dry. Process works when applying stickers to anything like a helmet or your vehicle. Good luck. 🇨🇦
Greetings from PEI. I'm 56 now, and I use to run the National Capital 10k every year since 1989 to 1993, then when I moved to PEI I ran a half marathon. And I believe somewhere in between I swam my buddy's lake (Dalhousie) , breaststroke, came out covered in leeches it was about 2k wide. I couldn't muster the energy or discipline for an Ironman even in my twenties. Well done!
Hi Chris and Julia! I just wanted to let you know that I just finished watching all of your videos, this was the last one! I first heard about you guys a year or two back when Algonquin Outfitters shared one of your Algonquin canoe trip videos. I loved it and after that I continued to watch all of your new videos. In the one video series you went to Kiosk in Algonquin which is actually not too far from where I live. But then I got thinking a couple weeks back that I had not watched any of your older videos yet. So I thought I would watch a few of them, and I ended up watching all of them! You guys are amazing! I love how you live your life, the fun adventures you go on, your relationship, and how you continue to push yourselves to be better both in you physical abilities and in your filming as well! Your videos are just such a joy to watch! They really give the viewer the feeling of almost being there and experiencing the adventure themselves. The cinematography is beautiful, and the quality of the videos is excellent. I am just starting to get into blogging and hope to make some videos as well, so your videos and adventures have been really inspiring. I am really looking forward to continue to follow along on your adventures and to watch your future videos! Thanks for being so awesome! - Josie Dinsmore (Adventures with Josie) (Josie Dinsmore Photography)
Very inspirational . You girls are much fitter than me when I was in the military . BRAVO ! Julia you gave a great effort with your French . I could see you thinking in English and speaking in French . Hint , think in French and speak in French . Love your videos . All the best . Ken .
Absolutely amazing video! I've run a sprint triathlon and know what kind of work goes into a tiny race like that so it was great to see a true accomplishment at the top of the tri world. Also, Happy Birthday!
What an achievement for both of you! I can't imagine myself will able to finish it during my peak years lol It always melt my heart for seeing someone spending the time and effort for making someone's birthday special, so happy for you two!
Wow...what a great job capturing the whole weekend. I will be doing IMMT as my first full this year, and this video got me even more stoked! Congrats on a great race to both of you...hope to see more in the future!
Hi, Now far my last finish on a IM. Really inspiring. It will be a big present just the possibility to go to Mont Tremblant. perhaps not to far away from Basque Country. Great girls and great video. Thank you very much for sharing this and make me dream again. XXX, Igor
Hey Chris, what an amazing video! You can see the hard work you put in there and turned out great! There's always positive vibes in your videos and I really like that :-) Also, I started (slowly but surely) to train for triathlon and you really helped me with my motivation. So please keep up the fantastic work! Lots of love from Germany xx
+whimsicalwombat You can do it! My top tip is to find a training partner to run with once or twice a week - they'll keep you going on the days you're finding it tough, and in turn, you'll keep them going when they're finding it tough. You'll gradually build each other up :)
+scott Thomson Thanks Scott! Yeah, we're so used to riding next to each other during training, so it feels a little odd riding with the gap on race day, and I just filmed Julia whenever we were passing / leapfrogging to avoid drafting - there were lots of referees out on the course, on silent motorcycles that would sneak up behind without being noticed. Hope you have a great ride - Go Scott Go! :)
+The Art of Photography Thanks Ted! For the kinetic text, I used the "ProIntro Hipster" plugin by Pixel Film Studios for FCPX, and I'm really digging the Bebas Neue font at the moment :)
participating would be a better description. i think i ran with you guys for a bit on the 2nd loop on the trail. didn't one of you lie down beside the trail near the turn around?
That's so cool! Yes! Julia was having some tummy troubles and took a moment to lay on the ground, but overall we had a great day. Congrats on finishing IMMT! :)
Thanks Sean! Nice! 👍 We stayed at Tours des Voyageurs - I’d recommend booking a year in advance, and ask them if you can have a balcony on the 3rd or 4th floor overlooking the finish line - they can’t guarantee that you’ll get it, but they’ll try, and it helps if your stay begins before the weekend. The Thursday night before would be a good time to arrive, and you’ll likely want to stay for a day or two after the race to recover. Also, if you get a chance I’d recommend riding and running the course a few times this year to become familiar with it - people train on the shoulder of the highway all year
+Adam Stevens Thanks Adam! The opening was a lot of stacked compositing work in FCPX (16 storylines of 1080p scaled down to 25% and then independently positioned into place). It took me a while to tweak it to beat :)
Thanks Vivek! I'm actually not sure - our pace definitely felt a lot slower at the end of the day after the swim/ bike than what we normally run at, and we had to take a bunch of breaks to re-fuel :)
There's so much I want to comment on! Haha. But holy crow Chris, just decided to put it all together, eh?! Haha. Did you consider releasing separate videos day by day? Regardless, I'm through day 1. THAT TENT THOUGH! Holy crap, that venue was impressive. And it sounds like you were playing your Epic NYC Run video on the way there, eh? :P
+Jordan Pike Thanks Jordan! Haha, yeah, I thought about doing separate videos, but wanted to try something a little different. I listen to that song way too much! :)
For our training plans, we just planned out every workout weeks, sometimes months in advance, and then tried to stick with it as best we could. We'd work up to increasingly longer distances and higher intensities over the course of 6+ months, up to about two weeks before the race, and then we'd begin tapering with shorter sprint workouts. The first year was a big learning experience (which should be your focus), and the second year was easier to plan... but I'd say the biggest key to success is just putting in as many miles as you can squeeze in, with 1 or 2 rest days a week :)
Cool! It's the Tour des Voyageurs 1 building (theres also a Tour des Voyageurs 2 building on the other side of the finish line), and we were on the 3rd floor in this video, though I can't remember the specific room number. The other side of the hallway in our building overlooks the pool, so you have to be really specific when booking a room with them and say you'd like a view of the finish line, which we booked a year in advance with that specific request. Having said that, the 3rd floor doesn't quite see over the lift to the finish line, so you may want to consider the 4th floor, which is where we stayed during the first 3 videos in this playlist: czcams.com/play/PL--m1-kmw2WKIpepvlBsbG7Gm_8OsVa43.html In any event, book now if you can! :)

+Constance Schölch Aww! Thanks Constance - glad to hear! I hope your training is going well! :)
What an accomplishment! My intimidation re: working back up to a 5 -10 k race seems a teeny bit pathetic at the moment. ;)
Well done, you and Julia!
+whimsicalwombat You can do it! My top tip is to find a training partner to run with once or twice a week - they'll keep you going on the days you're finding it tough, and in turn, you'll keep them going when they're finding it tough. You'll gradually build each other up :)
Sticking to drafting rules must be so hard in a race like that, well done ! very motivational, I will smash my ride now for sure
+scott Thomson Thanks Scott! I finally had time to watch this! Nice job and congrats!

Awesome vid! I plan to do IMMT next year as my first full ironman. What hotel did you stay at?

+Amy Cameron Thanks Amy! :)
Awesome race and video. You did both the 70.3 and 140.6 Mont Tremblant last year? Are you doing both again this year?
+Patrick Cavanagh Thanks Patrick! Yep! We did them both last year, and the year before that too, but we've got some other plans this year :)
That edit was amazing, great job! How did you even do that?! hahaha
+Adam Stevens Thanks Adam! The opening was a lot of stacked compositing work in FCPX (16 storylines of 1080p scaled down to 25% and then independently positioned into place). It took me a while to tweak it to beat :)
Chris Prouse wowza, hats off to you woman!!!!
+Adam Stevens Thanks Adam! :)
This is motivating as hell! Good fuckin job girls!
hey chris , nice and inspirational video !!! what was your average speed of running during this marathon ?
Thanks Vivek! I'm actually not sure - our pace definitely felt a lot slower at the end of the day after the swim/ bike than what we normally run at, and we had to take a bunch of breaks to re-fuel :)

I think my inner Canadian just came out in my last comment. That's cool though, I'm definitely enjoying it. What an awesome experience. :)
+Jordan Pike lmao i think I turned Canadian reading that comment
Edward Hernandez XD
Hey. to get that PB did you guys go off a training plan online?

what hotel is this i signed up for this race for 2019 and this is where i want to stay
