Advanced Rendering Patterns
As modern applications are getting more and more complex, it's quite easy to end up with large bundle sizes and long loading times. Although there are many tools that can help with performance, there's still a lot you can do as a developer to load your code more efficiently. Fortunately, with the help of modern rendering patterns, we can reduce complexity, bundle sizes, and reduce loading times. In this talk, you'll learn about the implementation and use cases of modern rendering patterns including SSR, (on-demand) ISR, Streaming SSR, React Server Components, Progressive Rehydration, and Selective Rehydration.

I wish Lydia had a series about how all these features work now in the App Router, her content and diagrams are SO useful
I gained a lot about rendering patterns from this presentation. A presentation well done :)
Very useful presentation, thank you!
Very informative video! Thanks for that!
Great presentation!
This is a great talk very informative
Excellent thank you
NextJS Rendering Patterns: Lydia Hallie
I am coming from soft one 4.6 and I am so torn with soft soft. It seems great as it is so in-depth in its' capabilities but, so fiddly to get
Great talk Lydia!
Im super curious about how you created these animated slides? Is there any app?
Thanks!
it was done by someone else
LOOOL YESSSSSSSS TNice tutorialS COMNT IS FELTTTTT
how do i create a sequence?
To download soft soft is the download free or do you have to pay for it?
what if i wanna save a project but i use free trial? can soone help
Huh, revalidate()!!! Wow, I have been looking for this for quite a while. Thank you Vercel!!! :))
Does it work with a single model though? I mean, for not having to go through 50K products in a e-commerce site, just because one product was updated.
Nice presentation. What is this theme?
What should i Do? Is I Saw Her Or see On Her Presentation.
great talk,
5:32 It would be better illustrate empty white page on step 3, which between TTFB, FCP, since example codes are react jsx, which totally based on CSR.
I guess it would give little confusion
Sooooo, what was used to create the presentation slides? Very slick looking. I'd love to shock and awe with cool animated slides like that in my next presentation.
You can use keynote if you have a mac. Look into “magic move”
I see these presentation, and next thing you run pagespeed scores on couple pages Vercel which results in terrible score. Clearly there is something wrong with the ecosystem that we are unable to get the scores close to 90+ or 100
longest vercel ad
for like 9 years do you know how i can change tNice tutorials?
It really bothers me that entire presentation revolves around vercel and edge network as a only platform. Nextjs should be more cloud provider agnostic and self host-able framework.
so you’re upset that the presentation revolves around the exact concepts that the presentation is about? strange
nextjs IS provider-agnostic lol
@@jonathanlu2343 framework is. But not edge network. I work on azure reserved premises and any advantage with edge network doesn't help me.
@@sabinoramirez2600 title of talk is "advanced rendering patterns " not "advanced patterns in edge network which is only available in vercel"
@@sitcomrave other cloud providers have edge functions, for example AWS has Cloudfront Functions.
Good content but need to listen at 0.75 speed as she talks so fast it is hard to digest what she has talked about otherwise.
Truth be told, when you said "rendering", I was expecting something like "Is raytracing better than tessellation"
This isn't react. This is next.
Next is a React Framework, so yeah it's React
@@edmilsonandrade1529
Ok, i guess you are new to programing.
All of these patterns are next patterns, and not at all relevant for react spa. Just because next uses jsx and hooks, doesn't mean it's react.
wtf mate, just google it.
@@agenticmark No, it is not React, it is next . There are concepts here completly irrelevant for react.
Welcome to the world of web, it all suck, for the developer and the user.
@@TroenderTass of course this talk is not about coding on React. This video is about making your React application SEO-friendly using nextJs
