good presentation. hope I don't have to resort to removing sim, resetting network and all that. I'm 98% sure it's a carrier (t-mobile) or my brothers issue. Weird it started happening with both of them. and only them. they swear up and down they're not blocking. I'm def not blocking. t-mobile tells you to deactivate imessage, delete the threads and reactivate it then turn phone on and off again. So I did that, checked all my blocked numbers (didn't know I had so many) and we'll see tomorrow. Getting late. One good thing is I learned how granular the messaging settings are!

Just restart your iPhone worked for me
The recipient contact had a cell and home phone. I deleted the home phone from the contact and it works now.

Some messages will send and say “delivered” underneath, and then some won’t say “delivered” underneath and those are the ones not going through. Idk why only some go through and some don’t.. seems like longer messages are the ones having trouble sending. It’s annoying as hell, I’ve already went to message settings and have everything on.. sent the same message to myself and it went through, so maybe it’s the other persons phone? Idk, but don’t really wanna reset my network settings.. also everything is off (Bluetooth, WiFi, etc) except cellular data.. should I turn the cellular data off and WiFi on? Maybe it’s a problem with my network? I have 5G and all 4 bars tho...
Hi, are you talking about SMS or iMessages. The ones that are not going through probably are iMessages, just make sure you enable Mobile because some iMessages won't send through wifi, it depends on providers. Here is what to do. Turn off your wifi and data usage then send an SMS to your own phone number to see if you can send and receive at the same time. Then turn your Mobile data on and do the same, send yourself an iMessage to check if you can send and receive iMessages. Remove your sim Card, put it back and restart your iPhone before doing this. Hope this helps.

@@satchrules101 Hi, remove the Sim card from your iPhone, turn off your iPhone, put the Sim back and turn your iPhone back on. Then make sure SMS, MMS and iMessage are enabled. Send an iMessage to your own phone number to see if you can send and receive at the same time. If you have the same problem, check your Sim in another iPhone.

You can fix any problems by just restarting your device, you can remove the sim card and put it back. I have a question, is there any reason why you want to reset your iPhone
I fixed my problem after an update.. went into settings, saw what accounts messages was associated with.. my phone number had become unchecked.. I rechecked it and BOOM, back up and running.
Where did you find these in the settings?
Go to settings, scroll down to iMessage.. click on the arrow next to SEND AND RECEIVE. Look at the list of available addresses.. my phone number had gotten unchecked so I checked it again and BOOM.. once again paired. I don’t remember if I had to restart my iPad, but if you do, no big deal.

Hi, just don't erase your iPhone. If you reset network settings, it doesn't delete anything from your iPhone. I don't think that is the problem. Go on settings - messages and make sure SMS is enabled as well and restart your iPhone

@@samigaming1339 If you are out of storage, even regular text messages won't send. Make sure you have enough space in your iPbhone. Toggle the MMS option to turn it off and turn it back and try again. Always test an iMessage in your own iPhone number, which means send an MMS to your own phone number to check if you can send and receive at the same time. Enable data for iMessages and MMS always

@@samigaming1339 Hello, When you go over your iCloud storage limit, your messages and attachments don't upload to iCloud, and your devices won't back up or download to iCloud. You can still access your most recent messages, but they won't be stored in iCloud and deleted messages will not update on your apple devices :)

Hi, most providers do not provide Group chats over wifi, the same thing for picture messaging. You need a data plan and enable mobile data in your phone Settings.

The issue was simply that my service plan ran out.

Hi, thanks for sharing, I have to make a video on this. You need to make some changes in your iPhone settings. You have enabled iMessages to be sent through your iCloud account and not from your number.
Go to your iPhone’s Settings. Tap on Messages and select the “Receive at” option.
Tap the caller ID and select your phone number. If it doesn't work, remove your iCloud account and set up iMessages on your number.

Hi. it's not a problem if 2 iPhones are connected to the same account. Just check your new plan, you need a data plan to send and recive iMessages and MMS messages because the new carrier may not provide that over wifi. Let me know if you have any specific issue you want to fix

Hi, the best way to test your text mesages is to send an SMS and iMessage to your own phone number, if your received them, the problem is not on your end.

Hi, iMessages and MMS require a data or wifi connection to be able to send and receive texting. You're getting iMessages and not regular SMS.

Can please enable your data or wifi and send an iMessage to your own phone number to see if you can send and receive at the same time. Then turn off wifi and data and send an SMS to your own phone number. If you receive all messages, then there is nothing wrong with your iPhone. You only got a problem when it says failed.
If your iPhone messages are green, it means that they're being sent as SMS text messages rather than as iMessages, which appear in blue.
