Hi Jenny, Great question. These Lockstraps are used in over 22 countries. We haven't had any problems with water. Ice is the only thing that inhibits the lock. We suggest you cover the lock if you are going to be in icy-snowing conditions.

Hi John, No there is no way to open the lock if you forgot your combo. However, try taking it to a locksmith. They usually enjoy picking a lock.

Will the rain damage the regular lockstrap (the one without the plastic)? Could the combo lock rust and should we protect it somehow from the rain?

i forgot my pin. can it be reset?
I found an old one l think my dad had, but can't figure out the pin, any way I can reset it?
Sorry, there is no reset. Maybe take it to a locksmith and have them pick it.
