Father, not to be a stickler, but the maniple goes on before the stole because it is received by the Subdeacon, and so is then common as well to Deacon, priest and bishop.

Can a priest celebrate without a chasuble?

I love your questions, you make me think about when Jesus broke the bread with two disciples at Emmaus.

There is another variation of choir dress is as worn by a Licensed Lay Minister otherwise known as a Reader. This is a blue tippet and is worn at all services including the Eucharist where they may act as theDeacon. At Matins or Evensong an academic hood is often worn as well.

Thank you, yes indeed! Though I've not seen many Reader Tippets in the US and believe it's mostly English but could be wrong.

As much as I admire liturgical forms of worship, the fancy vestments are the one thing I just can't see coming from Christ and the Apostles.

Father, if you care enough about the sacred vestments then you don't let your cat jumping around in the sacristy. I hope you wash your hands before you celebrate the Eucharist after touching your cat. Other than that, I enjoy your clip.

The cat was just a gimmick for the video and is not present on Sundays or actual preparation for a mass, thanks!

    Hi.
By the way you should never use a maniple if you are not celebrating a mass.
So when you have a cope please do not use the maniple.

This guy needs to learn how to pronounce properly the names of Vestments. I guess they don't cover that in Episcopalian seminary? Lol
