    I found watching this video to be surprisingly contemplative. Our Lord and Savior took loving care of every detail of His Last Supper, His suffering and death for our redemption. Sister and Monsignor give us a good example of how to strive to do the "small" things perfectly (..as my Father in Heaven is perfect). Our own preparation for Holy Mass should always be this way! Thank you for videotaping this act of love.

    + The Mass is the Highest Sacrifice by which we may WORSHIP GOD, our most heavenly
    Creator. The Priest (in this video Monsignor) wears sacred vestments to set him apart
    from the world when he offers the almighty Sacrifice, He offers an infinite Sacrifice to a
    most infinite Creator....
    + Thanks you Monsignor...................................................................

    Beautiful! Sister is truly skilled and talented. I too feel calmed and somewhat more spiritual watching this video. I hope to one day be able to use it in a church for a priest. Thank you for this video and God bless all of you!

    I'm a minister (an Associate Pastor) in an orthodox Confessional Lutheran congregation located in suburban Philadelphia. I've done the same arraignment with our vestments, except that we do use the semi-gothic chasuble instead of the Roman chasuble, and in place of the maniple, we make use of the pectoral cross (with a Corpus). Otherwise, the vestments are arraigned so that the stole, pectoral cross, and cincture is arraigned in the "IHS" manner rather than the "AM" manner. For the semi-gothic chasubles we have in our collection, we are able to fold it in a similar manner to that of the Roman chasuble that you use, thus we can grasp the chasuble with ease.

      You should look into the Catholic Church, as the group that you mentioned that you are a member of is not following Christ but is a break from his teachings. Only in the One True Church can one follow Christ- as it is where all of his teachings are, without misinterpretation or error.

    • @Eilbheis
      @Eilbheis Před 4 lety +1

      Richard Bowley Are you ok? Did I reach you at a bad time? We can talk later after you calm down. You aren’t speaking like someone even attempting to follow Christ. You convert using truth, but because you clearly don’t have it you need to use threats of violence and anger.

    • @Eilbheis
      @Eilbheis Před 4 lety +1

      Richard Bowley The Church that Christ founded and that keeps his teachings to the proper apostolic interpretation with the traditions they instilled and maintained cannot be the home of the Devil. Rather a heresy built on private interpretation and pride in the 16th century is. Also the Antichrist doesn’t come until right before the end times. Secondly, it is not grave error to follow Christ, but rather Satan and his blindness- which is more prescribed to yourself.

    Msgr. Perez,
    Since you are a msgr., why weren't the alb cuffs under the lace Red/purple? And, the ribbons on the amice also red/purple? Pre Vatican II days, and now the Extraordinary form of the Mass, (Traditional Rite Mass) those purple, red, and scarlet cuffs and alb and amice ribbons SHOULD be colored! Further, back then, a cardinal, Bishop, or Msgr. Of all grades would have never went without the "Sacred Purple" trim/ accessories! Also, you your self can use a Bishop' s cincture. ( Fancy, usually silk and gold, and elaborate tassels on ends) Usually, though back-in-the-day; Msgrs wore them on Sundays and Holy Days. Bishops more often or always.
    Your video was quite excellent, and you and your parish are blessed to have a Religious Sister who knows how and willing to help the priest with the vestments. Thank you.
    Respectfully,
    John
    Parishioner of Holy Name Cathedral.

    I'm not sure of the Church discipline on this but I think it not proper for a woman to be a sacristan, although she is a consecrated person it should be ok. What is definitely not permitted though is for her or any layman to touch the sacred Chalice unless they (male only) wears gloves. I also know for sure, the handling of Monstrance is restricted solely to the Priest.

    I heard a woman speaking Tagalog in the background! Are there Filipinos in that congregation?

    • @SperoinDeo
      @SperoinDeo Před rokem +1

      There is everything in that congregation. Whites, blacks, Latinos, Vietnamese, Filipinos and I'm sure I'm missing more. The TLM brings races together. No "spanish" mass, Tagalog mass, etc. The Novus Ordo, among other things, divided the congregation. Very Tower of Babel like.
