Have a gt and have a v6. I don't know why everyone hates on v6's. In a drag my v6 was only .4 seconds behind my gt.

I'm certain the owner of this monster 6cyl mustang thinks his car sounds great in person. Why rag on it, I mean most of you couldn't afford a v8 mustang anyway.. Plus parts for a 8cyl and labor are way higher because everything is harder to get to.. It's like people on youtube don't think and just type
idle sounds sick but its just those high rpm's that are too raspys and high pitched
you need a Posi-trak or limited slip then you will be able to spin both tires.

As much as I love mustangs, I'd have to say that loud exhausts on the v6 make it sound like import cars which completely kills the label of "muscle car"

I feel you dude, I have a 04 3.8. I'm trying to save money to get a 4.6. That's what I would recommend doing, no replacement for displacement.
Dingus tardo A V6 Mustang will never sound like the V8 no matter what kind of exhaust you out onto it. If you want to tell yourself it sounds "similar" then that's on you. But everyone else knows it's not a real V8, it's just a wannabe.

The V6 is a different engine and has different characteristics. You have no real respect for the mustang if you can't respect all the different versions of it and just go around saying "get a V8". Dude theres something weird there. Either Ur V6 is manual and ur GT auto, or you made those shifts wrong in the GT, because i own a V6 and my friend has a V8 both manual and he smokes me in a flash... But the V6 is pretty cool, I love it. I Dont get why everyone hates on it either.

@DIENAMICProductions yes and? you can keep up with a GT AFTER you put headers on, full exhaust, COMP cams, cold air, ported heads, steel valves, nice tires, posi, and a tuner. hmm. doesnt sound very cost, user, or fuel consumption friendly to me. now, idk if you did the work, or paid for it. either way, its to much money and labor for the outcome. how much money do you have invested total into the car? my GT is 99.9% stock, i can get 14 flats out of it on a good day, and i get 25mpg.

I have a mustang 99 V6 and I've done the mods to get s deep muscle car sound you will need the following:
- Long Tube Headers,
- true Dual Exhaust,
- X pipe
- 2 Flowmasters 40-44 your choice
