Are you sure about your confirmation name is listed on the confirmation certificate? A friend wrote the parish where she was confirmed and they had no record of her confirmation name. I told her to pick a patron saint and go with it. I gave her a Rosary with St. John Paul II on the center and a Saint Mother Theresa medal.
Hey! Could you tell me why the guy in the middle said "don't wear thr Rosary" I don't get it, why would that be wrong to do?
hallow is like 70$ im not getting it
I was a policeman for 30 years. It was our responsibility to respond to unattended deaths. These were usually at peoples homes and we had to remain on the scene until the body was removed either by a funeral home or the medical examiner. I would ask the family, if they were present, if the deceased was Catholic and if they wanted a priest. I would then contact the parish priest to come to the home to administer last rites.

Being Catholic, this was my first response, but I mentioned clergy to all families. I feel, regardless of your religion, you should always have clergy available to grieving families.

My son is 23 and when he was 8 making his first Holy Communion, he returned to his seat in tears of joy because of receiving the Eucharist. He showed a great love for his Catholic faith early on in life and to this day is very devout to his Catholic faith. He loves the Traditional Latin Mass. Yiu are blessed to have a teenager showing love for the Rosary and his Catholic faith. . 🙏⛪️📿😁

Lovely, I wish o had mine. I do still have my Communion Veil and it is on the head of an Antique Doll. I also have my Missal from my Confirmation. I’m 73 years young.

Mary wasn’t kidding when she gave those promises for those who pray the Holy Rosary. After Mass and the start of Adoration I had a fainting spell. Blood pressure bottomed out. While waiting for the ambulance, dear Fr. D gave me the Sacrament of the sick (aka, Last Rites) and I had no fear of whatever was to come.
Long story short, She also arranged for me to have surgery the next day, the Fourth of July holiday weekend, and then after the ten pound mass was successfully removed there was no sign of cancer! Praise God! Prayers answered!

@@ruthnoelmarie...9061 the cool part was hearing my surgeon saying my story helped strengthen his faith. He said he was just going to do a paper assessment from his office but something told him to go meet with me in the ER. He was the only one I wanted to do the surgery, he wanted to refer me to an oncologist specialist in another city. I said I’d rather he do it, I didn’t want a specialist from another city.
I have a five mile travel limit due to a previous RSD diagnosis.
He agreed to put his weekend vacation on hold and offered to perform the surgery.
Then we chatted about his wife being Catholic and his children attend parochial school, and when he mentioned the name I mentioned Fr Joe being one of my favorites. He offered to notify him of my admission and I said he doesn’t know me, I know him from watching him on CZcams and Facebook. He thought that was so cool.
When the biopsies all came back negative for cancer he said that really strengthened his faith even more...so beautiful how Mother Mary works!

Amen. I have moved shortly to Bible studies at my uni days and left the Roman Catholic Church but rejoined after 30 years. There's so much missing without our Mother and the saints.
I hope that Ryan's lost Rosary is in the hands of someone that uses it every day and it helps them to Heaven
Amen. I started a new job, of all places, Walmart, and took a favorite rosary with me and lost it. I prayed that someone found it and knew what it was and kept it or gave to someone in sorrowful need. It had been blessed, so I feel God found a new home for this weapon of His.
That's why you need a few losable rosaries. We all have a few that are sentential to us like the one I had in the hospital while my son was born my knights of Columbus rosary the wooden one that my mom got from Spain then I have a few that mean absolutely jack to me so I can take them with me and if they get lost they get lost.
If anyone has a problem with praying the Rosary ask the Blessed Mother to help you, she will!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
My grandma sat on her porch everyday and sang the rosary for at least an hour.

Have been a United Methodist since I was a kid. Was at my nieces first Holy Communion last Sunday and wow, what an experience. The next day I called the parish and am doing the RCIA program this September. Thankful for Father Mike S and your channel. I’ve been learning so much and everything just makes sense. I’ve been putting God first for the first time in years and feel amazing. Thanks for all you do and glory be to God! Looking forward to confirmation, confession and my first Holy Communion.

Ryan, when my grandmother lost something, regardless of it's monetary or sentimental value she would say " may all my bad luck go with it and may it bless the one who finds it" This has been a very important part of my philosophy. So ask a blessing that the person who finds your grandmothers rosary has joy of it and that it elevates their prayer life. You didn't lose anything, you blessed someone
I remember years ago my very devout Catholic aunt gifted me with a BEAUTIFUL ring. It was blessed. I was at mass and the ring somehow slipped out of my finger. I immediately began looking for it and never saw it again. I was a little bummed out, but I just knew that whoever came across it needed it more than I did, and would be blessed beyond measure.
The holy water really got me. My nana had some on her wall right at the door. Every time we visited, we were not allowed to leave until she had blessed us ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Cross is a reminder for our salvation
This program was a good reminder about praying the rosary. Last time I prayed the rosary was two weeks ago at the hospital having an MRI. No beads, I counted on my hands. In addition to meditating on the Mysteries, I pray intentions. My Dad prayed the rosary every day. Once when I was at the house, I saw his rosary on the nightstand; it was a mini plastic thing you might give to a first grader. I went to a religious store and purchased an ‘Irish’ rosary with beautiful green beads, with the medal commemorating Our Lady of Knock. Dad told me he wanted to be buried with it, and he was. The prayers he said on the plastic rosary were heard just as the ones on the Irish rosary. I was still happy for him to have a nice rosary.

I agree. When I was in the hospital after surgery, and in some pain. Being in a Catholic hospital (Good Samaritan) looking up at the cross in every room in the hospital. And it helped me a lot seeing how much Our Lord suffered for us. And I was Protestant until 3 mos. When I was so blessed. Thanks for your encouragement. Gods continued blessings to you all.

I keep a rosary hanging from my rearview mirror for two reasons. First of all, so I have a rosary with me anywhere I go so I can pray it. Second because in an accident it will be quickly seen by EMTs. I want them to know immediately that I'm Catholic.

I have my mother's Rosary. The first time I prayed using them shortly after my sister gave them to me, I felt my mom praying with me. She had gone back to God about 40 years before and my sister was holding on to the rosary but not using it.

I just found you on CZcams. I can not read and remember. However I listen to mass and I remember everything my grandmother told me. She was the best catholic believer I ever had in my life. I have a crucifix in every room in my apt. A Saint Benedict medals above every window and door. There is also my old Scapular (brown) at every door and window in the apt.
Make sure you have the Lord Jesus in your heart. Read the Bible, which is the Word of God It is active and living and can restore you

The #1 thing this Catholic woman needs is to be able to think for herself without Catholic priests telling her how to think, behave or whom to give her money to. I most certainly Do Not Need a Catholic priest telling me to judge others. GOD LOVES US ALL EQUALLY REGARDLESS OF INCOME AND THAT IS SOMETHING I NEED TO HEAR MORE OF.
To carry a Rosary, I identify myself that I pray the Holy Rosary to our Mother and of course meditate. If I carry the Crucifix I identify that I believe in Jesus Christ and also reminds me that Christ is my lord and my saviour .🙏🕊️🙏

Could you do a segment on Pope Francis recent changes to availability of mass in Latin?
I'm not sure if this will help you, but in his last Angelus of June Pope Francis mentioned that they would be postponed for the month of July so that he may rest and reflect.
I would not sweat this one too much, I see lots of suffering in the Church today because of this. I won't go into details but just pray, offer sacrifice and even penance of any sort, Jesus will step in soon! In the West of the country they have been several Bishops who have already sent him the message that they are keeping it. Corleone in San Francisco, In Texas, Colorado and AZ. So look up, God got this!

My dad passed in 2007, my mom was not a fan of him get a Catholic funeral. My grandma, dad's mother, was Catholic, so after watching this video, she must have had him baptized as a baby. I've recently started going to mass and currently in OCIA (formally RCIA). I'm glad my dad got a Catholic funeral now.

As a Filipino Catholic, I think that my knowledge about Cathechism is not enough. Thanks for having this chanel coz I learned things that I don't know how important or got reminded of things that I should be doing especially reading the Bible. I don't get to do it everyday but now I am encouraged to read and contemplate on the Word of God again. I am thankful to God because my daughter prays the holy rosary every night with me. For decades, I only pray the rosary when Im with my parents who pray it enthusiastically at night and at dawn. But Mama Mary, in the image of Our Lady of the End Times appeared on the CZcams chanels on my cellphone. I was touched and since then I long to pray the rosary everyday and talk about God, Mama Mary and the saints with my family and friends. I always share to others what I get to see on YT about Catholic faith. I don't know how I can be useful to God, so I just sort into praying for others and the souls in purgatory.
I was a teacher in a Catholic school, I had bought a crucifix n used to hang it in my classroom and when I got retired from the service, my best friend(non Catholic) asked so I gave her n warned her not to lose it she too got retired from the service and one year back I went to visit one of the teachers I saw the same crucifix hanging on the wall of our headmistress' office I was so glad. Praise the Lord.

I chose St. Joseph but St. Lucy chose me. I have randomly found two medals from her and one from St. Michael. I went through a spiritual battle and St. Michael was always praying for me so I’m blessed to have the Saints as friends so it’s difficult to just have one as my patron.

My friend's mother in law passed away and she had it in her will to have a Catholic funeral, but her son (not my friend, she's a widow) took the money for himself and got her cremated instead of burial since it's cheaper. We were so disgusted.

I was a protestant so I can speak from that point of view on the cross. The image of the Cross without Jesus’s body on it is powerful because it symbolizes the resurrection, the defeat of sin & death and his ascension into Heaven. I’m Catholic now so don’t come at me, just sharing the point of view. I have both.

On writing in the family Bible: My Grandmother recorded all the full names, dates of birth, etc on a paper in her Bible for my Grandfather's parents and siblings. It helped cousins from at least three different states connect to their ancestry.
I have my great-great grandmother's rosary, plus a Saint Therese statue that used to be hers, which is an amazing story: I have a great devotion to St. Therese, about ever since I was 4 or 5. My life is almost a repeat of hers, except for the fact that my mother didn't die and I haven't become a nun (yet: I hope to enter a convent in the next 2 or 3 years when I'm 17). I've read almost every book I can on her, and she's my "personal patron saint." I decided I wanted to be a nun because of her. Anyhow, one day my grandmother called me and my 2 siblings over, and said she wanted to give us each something. There were 3 items: the first was a little pin of a miraculous medal, the second a little blessed mother metal, and the third was something in a small red bag. My siblings chose the medals, and I was left with the bag. When I opened it, there was a tiny little statue of St. Therese, and I had had absolutely no clue when I chose that! Through tears my grandma explained that used to be my great-grandmother's, and I am honoured to have such a precious, beautiful thing. I bring it with me whenever I go on a trip, and when anybody asks me "if you could only take one thing with you before your house was destroyed, what would it be?" I would take my great grandmother's statue and her rosary. When I got the rosary, it was on my confirmation: my grandma gave my sister a little golden rosary that she found, my brother got my great-grandpa's rosary, and I got a tiny silver rosary that used to be my great-grandma's. I keep them both in the little red bag, and they are my treasures. If I lost everything else I had but had those 2 things, I would be satisfied. God is truly amazing!!

I recently lost my medals that I've worn for years , one that I wore in 3rd grade. My heart is broken, I've prayed to St Anthony and it's been over a month. Feeling lost without their protection .

In all transparency and may God fogive me if I am sinning when I walk into mass on Sunday mornings I take water from the dispensary and fill all the fonts in the front when the priest is in the back getting ready for mass. They are usually somewhat dry but Sunday afternoon but that just tells me people are blessing themselves when they walk in.
When you guys are in the same studio I can see something special going on. It's hard to explain, maybe more spiritual energy flowing? Fr. Pagano you mentioned that other commenters have said that The Catholic Talk Show has brought them closer to God. Dou to health issues I live a secluded life and have felt myself getting farther away from the Church. Since I came across you guys I feel as close to God as I used to. Regarding the Bible-- aren't you glad, seriously, that the Magisterium changed its mind when they suddenly ALLOWED common people to have it in their own language, and then to read it. Glad Catholicism came to its senses (became more Protestant, in this way). A sincere believer was burned at the stake with his dying words being "God, open the King of England's eyes [ to this need]",😊 and the FOLLOWING YEAR the Bible was allowed to be translated & published in English! I'm glad you men recognize the importance of its impact & gaining wisdom from it, personally-- like the Bereans. AMEN!

Hi from Nova Scotia Canada. I have all ten items and I have a home made prayer altar passed down to me from my Great Grand Mother. Main tier has the Stand alone Crucifix, second tier has a statue of Mary on the left side and statue of the Sacred Heart on the front and St. Therese of Lisieux on the right side. On the last tier is a statue of the Lord in the garden of gethsemane and a stand alone Holy Water Font
The window part is my wallet where your license goes, I made my own card that say "I'm a Catholic, if something should happen to me contact a priest" and put it there. I'll have to put that in my emergency part of my phone.
Saint Anthony and St. Jude have been to me a lot. However, we have a family Bible on my Daddy's side that no one knows where it is. Please pray that it shows up. There is a lot of family history in there.

I'm been listen to you and realized I have most of the items you mentioned. I am the only one in my family that prays the rosary and have all my deceased family members rosaries all the way back to my grandparents in Ireland. The only thing I am missing is my brown scapula which I lost as a teen. I plan to get a new one as soon as I can afford it. My baptismal certificate is written in Gaelic and English.
