Do you have any idea how much it costs to manufacture a nuke. It isn't found at a dollar store, that's for sure.
The staff expense for the military is far smaller than what is spent in research, development and manufacturing of the over priced weapons and gear the soldiers use.

One thing you can say about the Chinese, they are methodical as hell, all that effort just for training proposes, it's by itself an incredible feat.
Seems like a waste of time to me, but I guess when your military is as undisciplined and hopelessly unable to think for themselves you have to do that crap. Taiwan is not REMOTELY Ukraine, we don't know yet whether China's army is worth a crap or not, but I'm guessing it is not.

I am in Canada and am about to start (slowly) a campaign against oppression, hate, racism, and corruption. I will start small (in my own small town) because I have to start somewhere, haha. I thank those who came before me to pave the way and honour the sacrifices they made to be different and stand against unhealthy popular beliefs in order for us to continue. At the same time I want to wake up Canadians apathetic to the threat to our freedom to seek to do better.
